no i havent shitted up this box yet.....i just have a stupid dong question again.....

spam filters
i have been sent 4 invites to 2 different trackers at 2 different email servers that never showed up...they were sent by 2 different people...so i know im not bein fucked around

3 sent to @AOL...spam filters set to OFF...and spam folder empty
1 sent to @Gmail.....same shit

both email addys get loaded with spam everyday so i dont understand why legit emails are missing


is there anyway that windows xp could be overriding my spam filters?

simple answer :

No

both AOL and GMAIL use their own filters because they are essentially IMAPI (web based) email. XP don't touch them. HOWEVER: SOME antivirus/antispam clients (norton and mcafee) integrate into AOL nicely and do their own shit, depending on version and the like.

I would say that probably it is not a spam filter issue, but a server level filter of some sort that is set to block certain key words or IPs from the site sending the invite.

It could also be that the inviting server is smeg and needs to be bitched slapped so it sends properly (maybe configured to not allow easily created email addys such as AOL, GMAIL, YAHOO, etc.)

It could also be that the person sending the invite is putting in your addys incorrectly and needs to be bitch slapped and send to remedial spelling.

I may be drinking too much alcohol too, but hey.
