Web Filtering Software

I'm looking for some decent (preferably free or cheap) porn blocking software that will work with Firefox.

It's not for me so I don't want to spend ages setting up a blacklist, ideally I'd like one that just "works" out of the box, presumably by checking against an online DB.

I've looked but there's not many that have a large enough userbase for me to "trust" it, surely I'm missing something obvious or doesn't one exist?

If I was looking for something like that I'd ask here.

The guy there really seems to know his stuff, and if he doesn't he'll give you a good direction to start off in.

yeah, I asked him and he found plenty but he couldn't recommend anything.

If it was for me I'd just install various ones until one worked, but it isn't... and I don't want to explain the complexities of adding/testing/removing software to the numpty that I'm asking on behalf of

There isn't a FF plugin that does this already?

What about K-9 ? It is a extremely excellent parental control software, but for your application, I think it would do very well. It has an incredible blacklist in place.

The software is free, and made by Blue Coat software, who do corporate level control software for keeping employees from breaking company internet police. The K-9 engine is the same engine as the corp software, with some "friendliness" added for parents/end users.
