-- I got this app.... (http://www.vcdhq.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=82302)
I got this app....
for my iphone, where i can connect remotely to my PC.
but the thing is, is there a way to connect to my main PC if its got only an internal ip address?
My ip address you all would see is where the Internet meets my router.
but the ip address of my pc in an internal one 192.168 etc etc
am i understanding it correctly?

Yes, you need to setup port forwarding in your router. Configure the port that you'd connect to from your iPhone and associate it with the internal IP address of your PC. Then you need to find out your WAN IP address from your router and connect to that IP address on the specified port from your iPhone.
ahhh got ya, (i think)
ill give it a shot thanks

Vamps is right... Find out what port it uses, forward that port to your internal IP of the PC (making sure that port is unblocked on any software firewalls as well). Connect the iPhone to your external (WAN) IP and Bosch!
Next week we discuss impressing your friends when using the PC as a media server by using a Bluetooth dongle and HID drivers to use your phone as a rather funky remote
