City of Ember

Niipped into Cinema today and went in to watch this as it was just starting.

I really liked it. I loved the pacing of the movie. There was only one unnecessary delay to the finale that I noticed and overall it was a nicely told, nicely flowing story.

Only criticism I can make is that the ending was a little abrupt and could have been elongated to show more of the world as it is. The fact I wanted more though is a testament to the fact the movie was good.

I would watch a sequel but be aggrieved that this first movie wasn't longer.

A few of the extras in it are mates kids.

I thought it was more than decent. It was a very nicely book adaptation, not a book i've read so I knew next to nothing about the plot before watching it.

There's no tits, no fuck-shit swearing, no car chases and no twists.

^That's four damned good reasons to avoid it
