Stuck in your ways?

*if moved, please leave the MOVED tag for a day please

Maybe its just me, but i end up trying a bit of software and sticking with it.
The hassle of installing something new and 'trying' it puts me of, and I'm sure I'm missing out of some good apps.

I'm talking about apps i use almost every day,
For shrinking a dvd9 (or whatever) i currently use DVDshrink or DVD2One

and for .avi (or whatever) i use mostly WINavi or currently Convert-X

But to make better use of my new Quad Core
Can you recommend any apps that do the same functions of the two i mention above?
What do YOU use for these tasks?

^^^ woteesed.

DVD Rebuilder Pro...when you absolutley, positively just have to see every pixel...

http://www.videohelp.com/guides/cat...mplex-6;57#6;57

It is by far and away the most impressive in terms of results - in some cases the DVD5 looks better than the 9...and I'm not exaggerating, the tones look better occasionally.

But most of the time I'm lazy and just strip out all the extras/subs/languages I don't need and DVD Fab Platinum it

Used DVD Rebuilder with CCE.... it's as great as they say. Just took me forever on a shit PC.

Also don't recommend if you're not buying quality media.

I just use DVD Shrink.

I'm sure I'm gonna get a lot of grief for this comment.

The reason I use DVD Shrink or DVD Fab is because the quality difference is negligible. It's also a lot quicker. If you wanna argue about semantics be my guest.

Well look at it this way normal dvd is a dead technology so does it really matter??

Same 10yrs ago when dvd started taking over vhs, again we going through that process but at least a lot of original prints have been cleaned up and with newer technology may get cleaned up even better and a lot more dts

Now blue ray is the way forward u need to work out what your gonna use for that when it has been fully cracked and the price of the blue ray discs come down in price, personally i'm staring to collect em now and slap em on my external hdd's so far i have 1tb but looking to double that storage space very quickly, but that's just the way i am gonna go, so follow your own path, just hope cce is available on blue ray
