The AS isnt messed up, its just best suited for a 16:9 Widescreen TV, thats how i encode all my SVCD's.

Most people dont have one it seems though, so i guess it messed up then.

I very much doubt this is a DVD screener. Looks more like a good telecine SVCD. Compare this to a proper DVD screener like the Lord of the Rings SVCD released by TCF ages ago.

I meant its stretched vertically making, everyone tall and skinny, so the TV can stretch it horizontally and it looks normal.

Of course you can play it on a 4:3 TV but it up to you if you can put up with the stretching.

Its probably been a lazy encode with DVD2SVCD, and they've forgot to check the AR before encoding.

Ok now does that make more sense to you now, Stupid

I play all dvdrips on a 16x9 hdtv. Sure it would be nice to have the aspect ratio correct initally, but after the television stretches the image meant for a 4x3 tv to the sides, all it takes is using the menu option to stretch the picture vertically to compensate, not very hard.

wtf!. this release is the best release of Minority Report OUT there! sound is better then TCF's+screen is better then TCF.. TCF released a SVCD of a VHS screener tape.. and LiON a release of a DVD screener tape.. sound is better then TCF.. +screen is much better then TCF!. i think they should unNUKE thisone.. thisone is GREAT!.. if u find it.. download it.. and for u LiON.. great release+quality! keep em comeing!

Here's an idea SHUT UP! If you dont like the release dont download it. I for one am waiting for a GOOD dvd rip of this movie. So RELEASE AWAY people. And the video QUALITY is excellent. The AR is not messed up... just not encoded for the majority of normal tv owners.

Nuked means fuck all, they have no idea what they're doing half the time, they let all sort of shitty TS, pass by, they let the TC of this film, which totally deserved a nuke pass by, yet they nuke this, i'll believe my own eyes and ears, dont trust anyones opinion anymore, and you were the one who said Undisputed SVCD was a nuke, when theres nothing wrong with it.

ok, i have almost never posted on this forum, and only use my account to vote. but to this thread i have to reply.

When u claim that there would be no other releases in the scene or a limited amount if it wasnt for A-Team you are dead wrong. The scene has existed for years. Takein it back to the BBS days. thier have been times when it has been slow but has never died. A-Team is a new group, and is a mockery to the scene. they change thier name when they get nuked.

now, you said no releases, take a look on a site or a webpage like vcdquality or isonews. they both will show you the maount of stable groups. if a-team doesnt release soemone else will. thats something u need to learn. groups come and groups go, thier are a few that have been around for a longer period of time. but when they break apart for whatever reason they may, some of those memebrs from thiose groups actually go and join others, cotinuin more.

so please do not post comments if your misinformed.

They release what they get a hold of, do you think TCF and other groups have said, lets not release Two Towers or Bond20, we'll keep them a while, what people really want is better copies on Minority Report, its just unfortunate theres so many varying copies of this film, i do agree its a bit much, but be grateful for every release, as someone said recently, it gets boring when the releases dry up, and you dont have to download every release.

I want a high quality version of this movie, can't wait for the DVD. I was very disapointed by the telecine, but I might download this release, but ofcourse, again the aspect ratio is incorrect so I would need to reencode it. I think I have downloaded maybe one VCD/SVCD with a correct aspect ratio, maintaining the aspect ratio is not hard, I encode my own stuff all the time.

Just got this version (my 2nd download of this movie) and it came out pretty good. Good video and audio.. definetly better than the last copy I got. I'm sorry to hear it got nuked on some sites.. hopefully those people will move on to real sites that don't nuke stuff without a good reason.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Anamorphic 16:9 not messed up AR never mind one day some of you might realise this, It's ripped from an Anamorphic DVD which stores extra data by stretching the image vertically before you encode, and stretching it back again after decode. Thus storing more pixels with image on it than just 2 big black bars. When they ripped it either they either didn't take this into account or they knew and ripped it like this anyways. I actually like it cos I can set my dvd player to stretch it back to the original AR and get the extra quality that goes with it. Maybe one day I'll see people saying nice one for the anamorphic rip rather than AR fucked up.

There have been too many releases of this, if only TCF had done a better job of the TC.
