Props to STN on the speed of this release, video is better than the Robots, they internal'd last week. sound is the same from the handicapable sound jack. Man I miss DTS

video is very dark and grainy. I figure it is just dark because of the actual movie; but makes it hard to see. Audio isn't bad definitely direct but not DTS.

I will pass on this release but props again for the speed.

went to see in theatre yesterday, wasn't bad wasn't great, just ok

The.Ring.Two.TS-STN
video = not good, but not un-watchable; its dark, grainy, snowy, same style as the Robots rls few days ago, but darker and a bit better.
audio= constant soft static; just during the opening scene...as the initial music comes in...its ok, then once the bass kicks in, huge static vibrations (imagine the sound of a cracking fire).

Rest of the film...unknown quality.

During the first few minutes, huge problem:
the mom and the kid are in a quiet scene at the kitchen table. Mom has a shirt and vest on; then thump, the sound of someone turning off a button; audio goes completely dead-silent for ~1min 20 secs; video continues on and they are still in the kitchen; then hard-break, audio is back; it jumps to a different scene; where the mom has a coat on and is inside a dark garage

(unknown number of minutes missing there :-(

seriously this rlz quality bites donkey cock, but good job getting it out so quickly

Several probs with this rls as stated .. there won't be alot of
good dts out fast until someone cracks these .aue dts2 files.
Until then it's play on HW and re-capture or find a source like a
handicap jack.

yea a better release than usual from stn good job for the bit improvement! sound goes dead at minute 8 sec 13 for about 1 minute and you can hear the audio wires being put back it sounds pretty loud. There is a scene missing but its like 1 1/2 minutes i think in that time sequence same as when the audio turns off, i saw it yesterday opening day so im guessing its that long so definately a direct source of audio. A very unfair nuke but probably the nukers hang out with saosin or oracle haha!

some what anticipating this movie for the scare factor. audio has a high hiss/crackle to it. video is grainy and rather dark.
again from the sample, id wait for a better rls. nice work STN on the quick release.

at frame 14697/8 till frame 17150 there is absolutely no sound, as was mentioned before..... it should be nuked for this reason, not for the stupid "not direct" reason on some sites..... anyhow other than that, my review on it

video, too birght, not enough saturation, not enough contrast, and quite grainy, but by no means unwatchable... for vcd ts i give it a 6

audio, other than missing part(s), it has a constant hum, and the background noises/soundtrack are, for some reason, much louder than the dialog, which doesn't seem right to me, but okay i guess.... 5

movie, umm... i think i'm gunna skip this one, didn't much care for the first, so i don't think the second will do me any better....

on the movie note, wasn't the ring (1) promoted as "the last movie you'll ever watch"??? so, what's this, the first movie you'll ever watch.... dead.....

hate to say it...this is crap, pure crap, the video is horrible on night scenes or dark areas. you can't see anything you have to guess whats there. Audio is clear, during day scenes its actually fine.
wait for a better release considering majority of the film will be at night. not day.

honestly...video is not as bad as people wanna make it out to be..they complain when its too dark and complain when its too light...hell some of yall give dvd quality a 7 for video...
audio has some "interuptions" and some feedback or crackling...but its better than hearing people laughing or screaming...its a cam people! you cant make chicken salad out of chicken shit.
but the major problem is the nearly 3 minutes skipped in movie as well as the 1+ minutes of missing audio.

Video is bearable and audio is good for whats to be expected from the speed of relaese. The video on the otherhand is dark (prob dark movie on top of it as mentioned before) but I do expect a little more quality on the video even for the speed. But hey I give props on the speed!

I can tolerate almost anything but this isn't one of them. Audio is completely missing in parts and video is bad as well. I tried to sit through it but I couldn't. That isn't a reason to give this release 2's and 3's though. Better luck next time STN

Sound went by by and so should this release, not STN's best work.

Thanks for the release but, I'll wait until somebody releases a better copy.

UPDATE:

Went and dropped a dime ($5 really) and seen it on the silver screen.

Pretty good movie. A little weird on the writing part and they used the dts sound for some of the scares so it needs to be heard to get the full effect of the movie IMO.

P.S.
I still have no fricken ideal what is so darn scary to leave them impression on peeps faces

Maybe if there is a 3 they will touch on that.
They did expand the story line somewhat in 2 though.

Video: 5 (Contrast is off, not particularly dark, just no detail. Blacks appear grey. Slightly grainy and washed out too. Watchable, if you HAVE to see it now)

Audio: 5 (Direct but hollow. Similar criticisms to the video - it's ok but lacks definition)

Overall: Dunno. Not watched the movie, just the sample. Personally I'm giving this one a miss.

Ive watched the sample and a few rars only so far but I really dont think its as bad as some are saying. Yes its a bit pale and a bit grainy but nothing too bad and contrast can easily be altered. OK, audio isnt DTS but I can hear anything and playing it back on tv theres no noticeable hiss. Now if someone is saying there are audio blanks then thats another issue as is missng scenes but I think peeps are getting a way bit too picky these days. This happens every year following screener season and we've been spoiled wiht some nice TC's too..

The video is washed and in some of the dark places, it's dark. Nothing already said there. I do feel the rating deserves better. I've seen cams get higher scores compared to the same quality and with cam sound. If you want it, download just that simple.

From sample looks to be ok, but imo we have been spoilt by Saosin recently with some of the releases, they have been pretty decent and people should remember that. This looks easily watchable and the sound is fine which tends to ruin the movie for me, not so much the video. Will get til a better release comes along then will probably get that too

Bit of a wasted download for me... to be fair, I've seen worse and it didn't look unwatchable but I turned it off pretty much straight away. Thats mainly because for me, the quality was bad enough to spoil the atmosphere, but then I am kinda picky. Although definatly well done for getting it out quickly. I just need to learn to be more patient if I'm gonna be fussy!

This is by NO MEANS 5.x for video. Washed out colors and contrast. Blurry too.

Audio on the other hand other than the 2 small (less than a minute each) gaps, is pretty decent, and gets MUCH better after the first disconnection.

As stated, about 2 min missing in the beginning, not a big deal as this movie has no linear plot line anyhow. Better than the first it isn't, but its not bad for the kind of flick it is.

WTF tho, wasn't that biatch making copies at the end of the 1st ring? why the fuck would she be suprised that people are watching it? doesn't make alot of sense....

um.. the movie doesnt look very good, it looks like an attempt to keep a series going just to make more money.. but w/e video is not too shabby - 7
