I dont understand how u can fuck up a vhs screener...get a ATI vid card or better...use there software or windvr and record it.......i ripped 100's of tapes and run a video conversion company and the quality isnt worse..like most of these rips..................KIDS LEARN HOW TO RIP.........fukers using dazzle or some cheapass crap and u dont need pain in my asvcd..my vcd dvd rips look better than most rips....all except TCF LOTR...LOL

Downloaded the sample 2 times, both times:

windvd error "the file number 1 has an invalid format"
mediaplayer "Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported. (Error=80040265)"

*shrug*

next time hopefully they will release a movie that plays

i have a ATi TV-Wonder VE and I use it to make vhs caps all the time (omg even on my 400MHz PII it looks good) some groups need to just learn to rip before they f--- up the scene with their crap...

This is there first screener and there a DvD group... So give them a chance to buff up on the encoding skills b4 you start bitching ... good first try EM and keep'em commin... Ohhh have some faith in the "SCENE". It will rise again!!!

just watched film and made a direct comparison with the workprint-video and audio are noticeably better than all the other version released. This is a nice release and the group should be commended for releasing it. I also noticed a sample fix has been released for those of you who complained about that. Please view the films before commenting on them as I was VERY tempted not to even bother with release due to all the flames but it IS a valid release and IS the best version yet. 7/8/9 ( love the film too)

I have watched the entire movie on my comp. It turns out the rls isnt that bad 7/8/7 ...... Audio is really good, Video is a little blurry and pixelated but best release yet.

btw there are screener messages that come up every once in awhile but they dont get in the way.

Why the low marks? Because you immature fucks just go by the jpegs and sample,they were corrupted as well.

Get some fucking hookups then rate the movie after watching it!!

There should be a ADULT CHECK for this website to keep all those little fucking nerds off of here.

Very stupid to even suggest that Elitemedia is the same grp as a-team, even thinking that shows how much knowledge you have of the scene, EM has been around for a pretty long time with decent classic dvd rips and just tried there chance in the vcd scene to! Anyway they already done over 300 dvd rips and started early 2001.. Same counts for VxR they started out in february 2002 didn't do many rips tho, but they definately brought us some very nice screeners!

Heh. I like how groups think if they use higher quality settings and make it an SVCD, with 2 80min CD-R's the actual source is going to get better when it WONT.

Just like Mp3's. You can take a radio stream with shitty reception, and make it 320kbit, it doesnt matter the quality wont get better, because the source still sucks.

I dont think VXR because ive got some nice stuff from them, but A-Team is definetly taking the piss in my opinion, as for the others you mentioned i doubt it, i just think EliteMedia struggled on this release and will improve with their next VHS screener, if they do one.

As for the SVCD question, just check the posts at vcdhelp.com, dozens of them asking how to make their VCD into a high quality SVCD, some of these groups dont seem any more knowledgable than them at times.

Just noticed something on this that i didn't notice earlier, it Pal and the sound is 128 just like FTF's SVCD of Stealing Harvard, when did screeners start getting released on a Pal format first, and whats up with the dropping the sound quality. Lets use 224 on a Cam or TS, but VHS is only good enough for 128, still the sound is fine though, but thats not the point.

Been reading throught the first page of posts and i want to clear some things up. It is better than the workprint, picture and sound, and its Widescreen, but i imagine TCF could do a much better VCD of this.

No one told you to download their releases so stop complaining!!! These groups aren't getting paid doing this. If you think you can do better then why not start releasing your own movies.

You can safely put anyone who dissed this release on your ignore list. They haven't got a clue. This is a perfectly good release. Somewhere in the HQ TS - lower end screener bracket. Very watchable. 7/5.5 at the very least and thats conservative.

Anyone who nuked/dissed/marked down this rls just hasn't got as far as watching a sample from the actual rls.

Complaints about sample = lamer
Voting based on jpg or sample = ignorant lamer
Complaints sample is corrupt = newbie lamer (make ur own sample)
Complaints about rls group = disruptive ignorant lamer.

All the above = your bad for the scene girls, give it a rest or everything will go the way of c3ntr0py.

well, i think svcd is justified if the source is svhs, which some telecines are.

there is at least an argument (valid or not) for svcd TS's that were cammed to DV, since i suppose it's possible that there will be some improved quality squeezed out of the DV source (tho personally, i'm not convinced that whatever minor improvement there might be is worth the extra server space/bandwidth and compatability problems), but i see absolutely no justification whatsoever for svcd from vhs source, personally.

VXr DEF isnt part of their group... neither is EliteMedia..

i can tell you havn't been in the scene long enough to know VXr was one of the best screener groups out there.....

I am sick to death of the people posting comments such as you are a noob dont download its free etc,if you dont like the release blah blah .I want to see the negatives and positives of a rel not just loads of posts saying how wonderful this release is,or how we should all bow down in praise of anyone that makes a vcd.Be that as it may i do understand your concerns at people posting opinions based on samples or jpegs i for one wont give my opinion until ive actualy seen it running on a standalone dvd player.Every rel in here has people saying how crap it is and how good it is ,cant we just stick to the facts please people.

Far, far far better quality than any of the other releases. Can't see why anyone but a fool would nuke it. 8/6/7 I think it was a better film without the music though. That got damn red line pissed me off too much. Maybe I'll splice the workprint soundtrack over this release.

the pic quality was a little blocky for my taste but still clear enough to watch.
Sound was clear, but a little hissy on my tv.
I've not managed to watch it all the way through yet, as I lost interest twice, but that may be my medication
I'd probably wait for a better release myself but you wouldnt be pissed if this was all you could get, as the quality doesnt spoil watching the movie.
Well worth releasing but room for improvement.
