Heah phones, EWwww Can't imagine watching a movie with headphones. Me I like to setup my surround sound to Virtual 6.1. Sounds works pretty damn good to. For this movie, it made the sountracks sound fainted in the rear, and kept the Voice fairly Crisp up in the front. 8/7/7

speak for ur self i got 5.1 pumpin in my room but i hear you on the roomate tryin to sleep. I was watchin equilibrium the other day and he came back and wanted to go to bed. Talk about being pissed off. I wanted to watch the finale with my surround sound and got stuck with a crappy pair of ear buds.

Has anyone even bothered watching sample... like i said i cant comment on whole release off it and shit, but that tv in the sample sure like massivle distorted and so did chris rock and his head ( big body small head). This fucked up angle bit is worse than graind. Scoot back, i'll accept a blue tint, and give us the old style back. THis odd angle makes it worse than any blue tint or inperfection. Just cause the pic is great and the sound is good, an odd distorted pic takes away from any of those improvements. My 2 cents.

Damn good picture, pretty crisp i think, I have heard better sounding TS's from CTP, but Hell its not bad at all. Havn't seen the movie, Not really planning on it.

What really makes a difference if you have a surround sound system for a TS? No matter how good the sound is on a TS its still gonna be mono, There is no sound seperation at all. I have an older dolby pro-logic surround system myself, Well its over a year old. No matter how good of a TS it is, it will always be mono. Well i've gotten off the beaten path.

Well I gotta give props to Centropy for the nice release, especially since they were first (and so we shouldnt be seeing any more ts's of this that would flood the scene). Cant real dig the audio. That buzz is a lot louder than most TSs (even CAMs). Maybe they will get a better audio source and proper themselves? (I can only hope).

a set of good headphones is better to check audio with on a 2.0 svcd than a 6.1 system or whatever.

and what the heck is wrong with a 2170kbit bitrate? looks perfectly fine to me.

I never had a problem with Centopy's earlier releases but this angle thing is a step backwards in my humble opinion. I could always 'tweak' the contrast before and get a decent color, but there's no way to tweak my tv into compensating for this angle. I do appreciate the fact that the groups are entitled to do things however they see fit....but I just had to throw my two cents in. Peace

Audio - 6 (there is a little bit of a buzz, but if you know how do use an equalizer it aint that bad)

great picture but annoying buzz in sound. if you are really annoyed by it buy a ticket to the movie, sit by the hearing disabled section and plug your casette recorder into the headphone jack and record it while being blindfolded and have plugs in your ears. then go home and watch it with your new sound.

i like ctps new releases. i didnt like the blue rls's this is much better and very watchable. 8/5/9

As for video, the angle is still thre, maybe less prominent than The Hunted. Still makes you look for the for the angle throughout the film though

Great looking video, especially for a TS source though there is a slight angle that is unwanted. Audio has the typical buzz of a CTP TS, but other than that it's quite good. Overall the movie is alright, though Chris Rock in a semi- serious/romantic role didn't do it for me, it still has some laughs. 8/7/6

Good Release...very solid picture/sound gj centropy!

This angle is disgusting. it's either blue tint or an angle? no in between? give me a break rappa, spiderman looked good, had good color and the picture was straight. little grainy, but the video wasn't lopsided. everyone i know bitches about it massive. there is a buzz, but i have an EQ that reduces it. i wish TCF would produce more TSs! These latest centropy releases look good on small tv's, but anything big i've played them on the angle just ruins it completely. good job though guys.

Nice clarity but same bad angle and this time am I the only one that noticed how much of the actual image is cropped compared to it's theatrical counterpart (looks about over 33+%), you guys don't honestly think movies are FS do ya? Sound is ok yet slight hiss compared to previous CTP. 7/6/?

Once again, one of the best Ts' Ive ever seen, really clear pic, not grainy at all, Much better on the angle this time. The sound sounded fine to me... If i turned it up real loud I could here a hiss.. 9/8

Perhaps I need to watch further into this release-- based on the opening two scenes, the "buzz" everyone is talking about is unnoticable to me. Possibly because my treble is turned way down from watching Bringing Down The House. The picture quality is un-freaking-believable: the colors (!) are vivid and sharp, and the angle issue has nearly been solved. The opening shot of Mount Rushmore was jaw-dropping. When I tell my friends I got a new movie to watch, they now ask, "Is it Centropy?" before asking what movie I got! I prefer wide-screen, personally, but when you're dealing with this kind of quality, this early in a movie's release schedule, who cares?

Man whats the problem with people rating a TS?
This release its nearly PERFECT! angle problem? bah! not an issue you dont miss sh!t! ! Hiss problem? get a decent 5.1 sourround system and sounds very good!! the encode on this movie its nearly perfect! with a 2100Kbps true the whole movie what else do you want? a dvd rip? pufff! come on! remmeber the source!! I just have a question for the moaners , how often do you go to the cinema and you get to sit in the middle of the middle row? hardly at all? well yyou would then be watching the movie at an angle, but do you winge to the staff?

at least its only slightly off and great picture, no heads in it, and you dont have some fool slurping his cola right next to you. I think its quite a good trade off personally.

Saw it in the theatre the day it came out. Then got the centropy release..While it still might be considered decent.. it is not the best of CTP releases..

I barely noticed the angle. Didn't mind it being FS either. I couldn't hear the buzz on my TV at all. All in all I think this is a great release. I don't htink the quality matches Hunted but CTP is back and I am very proud they've got it figured out pretty much again. Sorry whatever happened before happened, but at least you found your way. BTW I'm not sucking CTP dick as if often mentioned on these forums, I'm offering sincere thanks for a group that actually has some technical knowledge and skill. Just to keep things even, a special thanks to FTF for backing off the crap ass releases daily.

I'm not complaining about CTP's encoding techniques (great btw), alls I'm saying is a HUGE percentage of the image is not even there and it has an obvious angle but everyone else thinks that's fine and dandy and better than screeners or what not? So don't call me a whiner just because I criticize the obvious, I ONLY dl screeners/dvdrips and CTP/TCF SVCD TS's... and giving my opinion. 7/7/9

Not a bad movie but spoiled by some wierd and not at all welcome angle thing - the core was the same (not quite as bad)- dodgy.
And that buzz ... some people say they can't hear it - well you are very lucky people 'cause I here it plenty !
Later I will split the audio off and fix it - about 15 mins work in soundforge. It seems odd to release something duff when it can be fixed so easily.

I would easily give up the new good colour bad angle (I think it started with Tears of the sun) to go back to what they had with Daredevil.. It bothered me so much with the Core I didnt even watch it all the way through.. wasnt as noticeable with The Hunted though, so who knows whats going over there.

They are still the best either way, not as good as they were last summer, in my opinion.

Is this a tc or maybe a screener...(definitely better than vcdCentral's Daredevil screener)..man this picture is great for a ts slight angle but not a problem only in one closeup scene of Chris Rock does it get the leno effect, and fuck those who say sound is bad its great on pioneer. This release is great angle can deal with would like it better but one of the best ts's of the year.

didn't notice any real buzzing but did not have treble turned up.picture clear colours angle was a bit steep for some scenes but was a perfectly enjoyable movie. i don't often bother to add my 2 cents about movies,but some people expect same quality as proper dvd rip from a new cinema release.well if you ask the film companies to do you a nice under the counter dvd copy i'm sure they will oblige you sure! .KISS MY ASS!!. some times we are privilged to dvd screener copies etc,but as this copy stands its still fine by me.so stop gripping if you hate it wait till it comes out to dvd retail.

Awesome release, the angle is hardly noticable this time. The colors are amazing in this release, and sharpness and clarity are great aswell. There is a buzz in the sound i don't understand how some of you can't hear it, it is so obiously there. However sound does not deserve a score under 6, its ridiculus how harsh some ppl rate. id rather have a little buzz then some mettalic sound shit we get from all the silvers. Havent watched the movie yet, might tonight, only skimmed through the discs. And sweet intro, but what the fuck was that commercial all about, looked like some shitty vhs cap of a chinese commercial. Anyways great release, keep it up.

i finally picked this up. took a long time to get. at first when i made the mpegs to this i was like whats the 3 files for then i saw a oriental food commercial. im like wtf? then i think they prob taped in asia or sumtin not the usa. unless they did it in china town.

Video: Video is great specially for a FULL SCREEN. Usually we think FULL SCREEN ruins quality but it just makes it good. a WIDESCREEN makes it more accurate. I think the video is nice cept for the Oriental Commercial.

Audio: Perfect as usual

Movie: havent watched it yet

I am AMAZED at this release! I just picked it up and other than the sides of the screen being cut off a little, this is factory-made vhs quality!!! I give it a 9/10/8

I loved the movie, very, very funny. Especially with Bernie Mac as VP!!

bizarre.. my pack of Head of State must be different to everyone elses, cos the film im halfway thru is complete and utter shit! jeez, talk about cliched... and how similar is this to Ali G in Da House? answer : very.

as for the pic/sound etc.. pic is nice and vibrant, but the angle is a pain, sound is fine to be honest. but the movie ? dire. probably the worst i've seen this year. not sure if its as bad as The Hot Chick, but its not far off. Chris Rock is usually incredibly funny, and his movies are usually good (CB4 + his appearences in Dogma and J&SB Strike Back were both really funny) so im not sure what went wrong here. maybe the last half will be a revolation. i doubt it tho

Excellent release! I have only watched the first couple of minuites of the movie, so I cannot comment on the film itself, but the video is very nice (I don't see the "Leno" effect that much in this release) and the audio is pretty good also. At the begining of the movie there is a major buzz, but once you get past the Dreamworks logo and the movie starts, the audio from the movie greatly overpowers the buzz and it is HARDLY audible. I give it a 8.5/8/x


P.S. What is with the Chinese commercial that is packed in with it?

I Just watched some more of the release and I did notice the Leno effect much more, but it did not detract from the overall quality of the video (at least this is what I think), so I am keeping my score of the video the same.

wow! i can't believe i'm just getting around to watching this...aside from ctp's standard angle thing, the video is outstanding. you can also tell it's a ctp from the buzz in the audio, but easily fixable...and it may be the time of night or the tea i'm ingesting, but i laughed my ass off
