Watched the sample, the pic looks pretty damn clear, a nice pre, good colors, sound is hollow/scratchy just like cradle 2 the grave and phone booth. 7/5/x. Good release, props on that maybe ill watch it.

Very clear, nice (if a little dense) audio. Great sample that shows off the good camming and encoding on the SFX sequence.

Video is pretty clear. I think the picture is actually BETTER than their Phone Booth release, but yes, the sound is pretty shallow. It'd be so much better if ESOTERiC released stuff like this on a regular basis, instead of sometimes releasing stuff like their Daredevil release and their Gods and Generals release.

Considering this release, Cradle 2 the Grave, and Phone Booth all seem similiar I am hoping that they have established a real TS supplier. They have all been pre's so I sure am hoping to see more releases like this 1! Great color considering it was filmed inside a theater, but again the sound isn't great, it may just be a good CAM.

Anyways I give it a 7/5/? - I'll watch the whole thing and report back if there are any major problems

Just got the first CD. Video looks good and the sound, while a little echoed\distant, is perfectly watchable. Cant ask for much more from a 2 week pre. Good job ESO, keep up the good work.

compared to other TS's, the picture is amazing. i'd give it a 7.5 rating if we could but instead i gave the picture a 7.

the audio isn't good at all. peopl who complained about the first TS of Cradle to the Grave will really complain about this. the audio is incredibly hollowed/scratchy.

all in all still watchable. definitely. the audio drives me crazy. very nice for a pre though. awesome movie.

I really liked this movie. It reminded me alot of The Thing, but it was totally it's own movie. Nice long horror movie too. Picture was great although a little blocky in some scenes, sound was hollow/scratchy but totally understandable. Thanks for the release ESOTERiC...

I'm not sure about CD2 being desynched, but I DO know that there are some glitches throughout the movie. Really noticable in the beginning of CD1. Also, its pretty pixelated in some parts, but my television does a nice job of smoothing it out, for the most part. Sound is kind of crappy, treble seems to be turned up too high, and some loud sounds are distorted. I read this book about a year ago, and was waiting for this movie for a looooong time. The movie skips some parts, but stays true to the book for the most part.

the video is great and the sound it understandable. i was just able to watch this on a plasma tv without seeing a bunch of blocks or any tints. the movie was great too. very graphic and surprising. i give it a 7/5/9

Well this was a great pre-release. The colors were good. It was alittle blocky, as VCD action movies are. There were also a couple of times when the sound is choppy and skips, like the techno re mix of a movie. Sound is a little hollow. Overall a great release for a pre-TS.
There was also just a second there when they first get their powers from Douglas that it goes black, but it appears to go back to where it was, or at least not miss too much.

watched the entire thing last night. GREAT MOVIE, GREAT RELEASE. yeah, the picture jerks and the sound jerks every once in a while, but I really dont give a shit, the release was great. picture quality was fine aside from blockyness every once in a while, and the sound was pretty damn good too.

Video is good I'd give it a 7. As for the movie it looked to stupid to watch, I only wanted it for the Animatrix.

Esoteric still rules though, these guys have put out consistant Quality stuff since The Transporter...

Ok, watched the whole thing and the video was decent besides some flaws with pixelation. Sound was below average. And the movie was... just another Thing or It.. same craps been done before and then ending was just awful.

Just watched last night. I feel the pic was great and the sound was good nuff for me. Props to ESOTERiC on a quality release. I agree with the WTF ending but we have Stephen King to blame for that.

Video is not bad, a bit of pixelation and glitches here and there but no real biggie. Audio on the other hand is horrible, all semi-high pitched and loud noises are heavily distorted, almost like this movie is from the 1930's. Movie itself is not bad, I probably would have enjoyed it more if the sound was better. It was impossible to understand some of the things people were saying due to the heavy distortion so I got a bit lost in the story at some points.

I give this release 6/2/7

After I downloaded the movie i kept getting a runtime error everytime i would try watching it.I use divx.Plus it skips on almost threw the whole movie.Can someone tell me whats up with that and if there is a way i can fix it.Video quality is great,just wish i could see it without the skipping.

I normally only watch watch DVD rips and screeners but because there isn't one out for dreamcatcher I thought I'd give this a try, especially after reading the reviews here.
Man I am so dissapointed the picture and sound quality are shocking it reminded me straight away of the old pirate VHS copies that used to be sold at car boots or street corners.
How can anybody think it's ok to watch rubbish like this is totally beyond me
Don't ask me to start listing my problems with it I would be hard pressed to say anything was right.
I'll be taking views on here in future with a pinch of salt

uhh yeah, get the real mpeg's, not some shoddy avi re-encode.

buy i'll try to help ya with the skipping problems.
if u go to your start button and find the divx folder, there should be a Decoder Configuration application. Run that, and turn the quality slider down a bit.

Finally watched it, my 15 month old likes to go to bed late most nights.

Video decent, audio is crap, even with CSII, still came out of only left and center channel.

I give the book a 10. Better than the movie, as is almost always the case. They took wayyyy too much out of the story, and made too many changes for me.
