really nice quality. good sound, picture is clear, MUCH better than eso's. definitely grab this copy! 8/7/x hear it is pretty funny flick.

:: After watching this version, I have changed my views slightly. I think it is still 8/7 for video/audio, but there were a few glitches in the sound at certain points in the film. There was a slight static noise resounding at points. However, I don't think that is enough to bring it down to 6. However, the movie was pretty crappy. It had its funny parts in it, but a lot of the funny parts were already shown in the trailers. More than half the funny parts were in previews... The rest of the film was quite stupid.

8/7/6

By the way, for anyone that watched the film, how old is that Coors commercial? Was weird to see it in the movie. It seems more recent.

Posted by VCDz on 10-26-2003 01:02 AM:

Video is a tad bit dark, and a little flicker, other than that it's great.

Audio is pretty good for a TS.

It is written by the Wayan's Bros., however directed by the director of Naked Gun series, Phonebooth, and Airplane.

if your going by what imdb said

Marlon and Shawn are given writing credits due to the characters they created still being used in this one

Chris Mazin and Pat Proft though handled writing of the screenplay, i believe Kevin Smith was also on the writing team also...

there are several writers listed from the first 2 movies given writing credits due to the involvement in the first 2

**From sample**

Pic is very clear although there does seem to be some flicker and maybe slightly washed-out or under contrasted (it looks a bit grey/smokey) but it's still damned nice. Audio is ok, a little distortion/ringing creeping in on high-pitched sounds but easy enough to tweak out.

Overall, substantially better than the ESO release... 7/5/?

It's mpeg2, you'll need either DVD software or an mpeg2 codec to play it.

Best release out thus far. The video is a tad dark and slightly grainy, but very watchable. The audio isn't good, but it isn't bad. I would say a tad above average. Overall excellent release based off the sample.

cd1 was screwy near the end, but i might have burned it to fast or had a scratched cd-rw, cd2 was fine.
sound is pretty good, aside from the few times it goes terribly scratchy/krkrkrkkrkrkrkr sounding

Posted by Kastro on 10-27-2003 06:18 AM:

Based on the sample, the video gets an 8 as the picture is very clear. Colors don't seem to be washed out either, and doesn't seemed too be chopped much either. The audio gets a 6 as it has a small echo. (maybe it's my shitty speakers) As for the movie, it was actually pretty funny (saw it in theatres). Grab this release as it's the best out until the screeener.

8/6/8

Posted by Condor on 10-27-2003 01:30 PM:

Nice release by TCR once again. This movie reminded me of Charlie Sheen's Hot Shot movies from the past. But sure made no. 1 in the boxoffice this week earning $49M (sold better than expected).

besides the occasional sound spike or stutter (prolly only 5 throughout that lasts for about 15 sec total), this is one of top quality ts's ive seen since ctp. great job here guys, a little bit of the flicker that seems to be a problem with everyone except ctp, but it still looks great, sound is quality as well. quick too!

9/7.5/8

pretty fuckin funny

I think based on the actual movie that the video is very watchable and with the exception of a few pops in the audio this was a very good release from TCR and quick. I havn't seen any comment on this but does anyone else have a couple of minutes missing from the begining of CD1?

Well, on my copy the film starts with no begining credits or title, just starts out with 2 girls already talking in front of the tv. It also sounds like that is when the audio is turned on. I don't know how much is missing, but I would like to know.

Watched this one on the TV.

Video - decent. Like mentioned, a little flicker, nothing annoying. The video quality itself is very watchable and nice.

Audio - a little tin sounding. I didn't notice the hiss mentioned a few times in this thread.

Movie - Sucked ass. I actually thought #2 had some pretty funny scenes. This one - the only thing I really laughed at was the six sense kid getting mauled every 5-10 minutes. Otherwise, the rest was just lame.

TCR has been on a roll lately. Good job guys.

i thought that he did end up being the consultant? on his site he had said he went over the script and didnt really see anything that needed to be worked on..

i thought the movie was funny, but it still was no way near as good as the first one. enjoy

Very watchable TS - definitely the best version out yet. Video occassionally flickers, nothing major. As for the film, it's rather funny in places but still miles behind the original... as someone previously posted it's like the HOTS SHOTS flicks from the early nineties...

How can anybody say this movie sucks!?, if you have seen the other 2 then you know what to expect (more of the same!) It is very funny (if you have the right sense of humour!)
Each to there own though I suppose!

Don't normally bother with TS's but really wanted see this one, Neilsen and Sheen on top form

Video- 7

Film- 8

Audio bottomed out into static couple of times and the credits were cut aswell, Im no "scene expert" but thought that rules/regs were that credits were not to be cut???? Dont think its TCR's fault either but as some have mentioned..what happened to the Morpheous scene from trailers? Deffo blob down to cinema with the lady to see this one I think, worth the £4

Audio is a 7. Minor static here and there, easily understandable.
Movie is a 2. I've never felt the need for a refund.. well, I do now. It was awful.

email address for DOD????????????????

Does anyone have a contact email for DOD? I am in the process of doing a remux of Revolutions with DODs video and TCFs audio.

However, I am not a proffessional editor, so up to this point my results have been less than satisfactory. I am enlisting the aid of a USC film student tomorrow so perhaps I may have successful mux by Friday. Would you all prefer a SVCD set or a DVD-Image?

Anyways, the easiest thing would be just to write an email to DOD praising their rip and sincerely requesting an English mux. My sister in law is German so she could write them a great email and I don't see why they wouldn't do it unless they are xenophobes.

However, there is no email address in the .nfo. Anyone got it?
