Need help with my DVD Player
It's a SONY DVP-C650D or DVP-C653D.
It states that it plays DVD's/Audio CD's/Video CD's
Well, I made myself some VCD's, and it just says NO DISC. I want to watch the movies but it just won't play them. Is there a way I could make it play them?
Are you using a CD-R or CD-RW?
Some DVD players have a hard time reading CD-R's.
I'm using Sony 800MB CD-R's.
Should I try a RW?
Try burning on crappy media (the ones that are light blue on the bottom) Something to do with the blue wavelength blah blah blah.
My old RCA couldnt play any CD-R's other than the cheap ones that are light blue on the bottom.
Good luck.

Well, I figured out my problem, my DVD player doesn't support. SVCD only VCD. Don't really understand the difference, but there is.
Your player can play SVCDS!!!!
Just do the VCD Header trick.
Info can be found at www.vcdhelp.com on both your specific player and the VCD header trick.
