Review (2003) Willard-Crispin Glover

M.S. don't read this review cause it deadpans C.G.

In a part remake and part sequel to the 1971 thriller, "Willard" is a bizarre tale of a "Forest Gump" nerd whose only friends are the rats that live in his basement.

The horror of this movie comes when he decides, "I am mad as hell and not going to take it anymore!" and sends his rats onto the society that spurned him.

Why would the producers spends millions of dollars on this 'B' titled remake is beyond me and casting of Crispin Glover (George McFly) is beyond repair??

Bottom Line: Willard has a mean boss, a sympathetic girlfriend, the only one who treats him nicely, and the mother from hell that literally drives him over the edge, which makes Mrs. Bates from the Bates Motel look like Mother Theresa.

There are two Giant rats that are best friends to willard, Socrates, and the evil rat, named Ben, which by the way spawned the Michael Jackson song of the same name. (which indicates why i think Michael Jackson wasn't wacko)

Willard is rated PG-13 for moderate violence, opens in theatres on March 14, 2003.

My rating: a 2.5 out of 10.

and that is the bottom line.

Couldn't aggree with you more, I had a six pack of Bud in me and I was still sorely dissapointed with this flick, luckily i get my movies for free or I would be complaining to managment(which ironically is me ) On a brighter note though, I hear good news of a Matrix release... hehehe

I concur, this movie was a pile of dirty toss.
Started watching, and a quarter of the way through, I gave up. So bleh.

And yeah, I can't wait for a reloaded review, I wonder who'll do it... I wonder..

Dude, i agree. I think Crispin Glover was a bad casting choice, it's not the kind of movie i would have expected him in at all. I watched CD1 of the workprint and i was bored shitless.

Maybe i'll rewatch it when the final cut is released and i'll try again.
