Y does this dam thing use soo much memory an why is there 6 of them.

Also, do a virus & spyware scan. . . svhost could be infected.
As mentioned before, run a virus/spyware scan... I know that there have been certain people to hide 'unscrupulous' programs by masquerading them as svchost.exe (thereby not arousing too much suspicion when looking at active processes)... Welchia being one of them. Depending on what you are doing with your computer, there may be several instances running simultaneously (I have 5 right now, one of them eating almost 18MB RAM). Check out Microshaft's KB for further info.

Normally svchost processes are perfectly fine and are OS jobs that aren't causing any harm (to all intents and purposes, it's just a generic name that Windows runs some "stuff" under) but yes, it could potentially be something trying to hide itself like a virus or trojan.
Your best bet is NOT to kill any of the svchost processes but scan your machine instead (in other words, what LoNeR said)

just block it in your firewall. its prolly using bw too. I blocked mine like 6months ago, i havent had any problems...
