** Help Using Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 **
Hello everyone,
Does anyone have experience with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5? If so please would you tell me how I can export my video as an MPEG-2 file?
At the moment I am going to File>Export>Movie... and then clicking on Settings... but I cannot see any option for MPEG-2 or SVCD.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. This problem has been bugging me for a while now.
Regards, Defiance
I just reinstalled my box, and I see the same as you. Possibly because I haven't got any dedicated MPEG encoders installed atm, it might appear then.
Personally, I suggest rendering and keeping at DV still, then using a dedicated encoder like CCE SP or Procoder to encode down to whatever file you want to. Always keep a copy of any "proper" work in DV, as it'll look exactly as the tape you started with, and its frame structure will be the same too (MPEG isn't as easily editable as DV)

<Dwaggy> i caught you a delicious Bass
<The404> This is because you are an idiot
I don't have any experience with Premiere, but I would think that installing the CCE Adobe Premiere plug-in would be a good start.
Thank you for the replies.
pHo: Perhaps I should be a bit more specific on what I am actually trying to do. I have an extracted MPEG-2 file from Robots.SVCD.TS-SAOSiN. I am opening this MPEG-2 file in Adobe Premiere Pro, and I wish to save the video part (without the audio) in the same MPEG-2 format.
::EDIT:: Don't request things, it's illegal! - Neversoft::

So you just want to demux the files?
just grab yourself tmpgenc and go to file/mpeg tools... use simple demux and you will have a video file and an audio file...if this is all you want then you are making things alot harder on yourself than needed.
File - Export - Adobe Media Encoder - Format (top left) - (arrow select) MPEG2-SVCD - Deselect audio - OK.
sure...but why take the bus when you're just looking to cross the street? =]
