japanese film, forgot the name. help me remember!!
I watched a film with my brother back in 1991-1992 (cant remmber the exact year but was around then) i think the film was new or had only been out a couple of years at the most.
All i remember was it was japanese, it was in black and white & was ultra violent.
I cant remmber the plot, i jus remember it been about a man that was turning into a metal monster or a robot, or summit like that anyway.
I swear it was called tsunami but i cant find anything remotly like the film i seen with that title.
does any of this ring any bells with anyone ??
Help me out, i really want to see this film again.

Jules_Tavernier, what does it mean your avatar?
Its the intro to "The Box of Delights"
Upper class boy discovers the secret of eternal life in a Punch and Judy man's box. Can the magic of Christmas be saved from the wolves?
This enchanting story was adapted from John Masefield's classic book. It told the tale of how young Kay Harker (Devin Stanfield) helps mysterious wanderer Cole Hawkins (Patrick Troughton).
They're fighting to keep the Box of Delights from falling into the hands of a bunch of evil wolves who are pretending to be clerics. They're led by the insatiably evil Robert Stephens, who, in his quest for immortality is taking on the forces on nature and imprisoning whole choirs in the underground vaults.
Made in 1984, the production was a daring mixture of live action and animation, and included a large number of complicated visual effects. Unusually, a lot of them still look impressive today.
I made a much better one but the size is to big to use on here, I might try and suck off a mod and see if they let me upload it.

thank you to explain Jules_Tavernier
I've been meaning to buy the newly remastered DVD (WITH FUCKING DTS WOOOOOOOOOO)
I saw this movie years ago. My dad first rented it from Hollywood Video back before DVD just because the box-art looked cool. I've had Tetsuo 2: Body Hammer for probably 2 years now but haven't come to watch it yet. Just that fact hat it is in colour has kind of put me off.
If you enjoyed Tetsuo look into "964 Pinocchio" another cyber-punk japo film.
And not quite at all related but other films I was really into when I first watched Tetsuo:
Jan Svankmejer's Alice.
Liquid Sky...I must be the biggest fan of this movie ever. Sadly.
Eraserhead.
