Pc games and controllers

Ok, I have a logitech wireless and I like it.

I can't get it to work with Gears of War. I also got a copy of Assassins Creed and it doesn't recognize my controller. Since the game doesn't come out until April I can't 110% confirm that it uses a controller or not but I have read that it uses a 360 controller, What is that about? Why can't I use mine?

Is M$ trying to take over pc gaming now?

I use my Ps2 Dual Shock 2 controller (using my Ps2 USB adapter). It works really great with ZSNES and MAME Killer Instinct (arcade version). I've tried it with at least one PC game and it didn't work out too well, but it was just the game. It had too many buttons and was quite complex. If Gears of War would recognize it (I'm not sure if it does/will), I would imagine that it would work pretty good.

I've tried a few controllers on the PC over the years but lack of standards just makes it a fucking ballache... I did eventually get a nice Saitek one that worked with most stuff, but it still required 15mins of fucking configuration for every shitting game.

You cant beat the mouse keyboard combo for pc gaming, I couldnt go back to a console controller now
