political correction gone mad or preemptive move?

So there we where, me you all know and my pal 6" 4' 49 years old dread.
feeling a little peckish we stopped by the McDonald's for a burger (or 4)

Strange, this Mc D's has doormen ?

we are about to enter when this doorman puts his arm out and asks me for ID.
we give him a smirk and attempt to enter
The dude keeps his arm up and asks again "can i see some ID please sir's"

My pal replies "are you serious, you look at 'me' and ask for id?"

"its health n safety sir. we need to see some id"

I would Love to repeat what happened next. but some things are best kept privet.
surface to say that they will need some new security now.
I've a feeling we where recognized, and duly 'tested'

Now as a holder of a SIA, its indeed true that we hold the right to ask 'anyone' for id
as well as refuse entry without giving a reason.



where we recognized or has it got so bad out there that McDonald's needs doormen ?
