Got to say I do think there is some higher power I did have right old near death experience once. It was pretty surreal.Fell overboard in early February a few years back in a storm it was as if I was being guided, got picked up by the RNLI the paramedics were absolutely amazed I was still alive ,reckoned it was the longest they had seen anyone in the water (it was 1 degree C ) still breathing.Fucking shivered for two days solid.You can stick swimming in winter up your arse.

Same here. Thought I was a goner a few years ago, was resigned to the idea. Then it was like some external force intervened and I started to recover. I figured God must have had a use for me and it wasn't my time yet. Haven't been afraid of dying since. By the way I was a total atheist before it happened.
