The Olympics

I'm shocked NO one's made a thread for this yet. I can't be the ONLY person watching.

The Chinese are killing this time around. Just watched the Synchronized swimming and they got Gold.

The Chinese have the most gold medals at this point.

men's 4x100m free relay USA shut the French up with that win. That was simply amazing. It just proves that shit talkers usually lose. The french put up a fight.

I'm still in awe about that win. That swim has been talked about all day.

I can't wait for the Final female gymnastics.


Really I wish EVERYONE would put politics aside for an event like this. The athletes are there to compete, They've all worked there asses off to get there.

I'm rooting for The U.S.A. of course but still applaud all countries.

What have you guys watched?
I'm sure Mancandy wants Golf to be an Olympic sport but he'll soon have to realize the Olympics for real athletes, lol.

Still wondering why Baseball is in the olympics? WTF ever, lol.

I've been more interested in the football/baseball happenings as of late to pay much attention to the olympics.

I did see that one french guy saying something along the lines of the reason he was there was to beat the americans, I thought that was pretty amusing, trash talk is always fun.

I really wasn't that impressed by anything I stumbled through, me and my mates watched some of the female gymnastics, trying to guess which ones were fourteen, which ones were seventeen, and trying to make bar bet style wagers on which ones were 'fair game' and/or do-able (what, we were half in the bag by that point, what else do you want).

thus concludes my thought on the subject.

I've been watching but I prefer the "fighting" sports and track and field events so the couple of days haven't excited me that much. I did watch some swimming earlier and was pleased to see a couple of Brits win medals, although the bitch who won gold had an unfair advantage - her nose was shaped like a rudder.

But yeah, over the next couple of weeks I'll be watching plenty of the Olympics.

I was surprised not to see an Olympic thread, also surprised not to see one about the Red Army invading Georgia. After a week of Spanish TV/ Brit Bar Sky Sports thats everything I have heard about.

Olympics:

Boring as ever, Britain will win a couple of medals in obscure bastardisations of real events. Jamaica will steroid their way to sprint gold. USA will not do as well this year due to their internal clampdown on roid dependance. China are gonna pwn through fear of execution.

And god damn, those British swimmers suffer from Ugly, there should be a standard of hotness to get into the Olympic team, especially swimming, no rancid rotters allowed, they're embarrassing. Also, that 14 year old British Diver, women think he is cute, I think he loves the cock, far too gay to be representing Great Britain at Olympic level.

I'm playing Beijing Olympics on the 360, it's one of those weird games it's actually quite crap but i must of sat there for an hour last night saying

I catch updates on it in the morning, saw that Phelps won his 5th medal. Dude is a beast. The US women gymnastic team won the silver with gold going to the Chinese. Saw some clips of the US women and they definitely did not perform a gold winning performance especially on the floor and single beam.

This incident made me laugh when I saw it yesterday. all pissed off at herself for failing and then she smacks her head on the way off stage, made me chuckle. Serves her right for being a female weightlifter in the first place.

I know its for aerodynamics and stuff, but just too weird watching all those swimmers shave every fucking hair on their body - get enuf of that from gay porn. Prolly shave their pubes too (not that theres anything wrong with that).

Having the most medals does not make him the best Olympian its just a reflection on the ease of his sport and exposes the ability of contestants to capitalise on variations of the same thing.

They should have it like Track games, 100 metres sprint, do it however the fuck you want, just get there as fast as you can.

Doing the same fucking thing but doing it in different ways. It's swimming 200 metres, thats it, get on with it. Ok we get it, you can swim fast, pick the fastest way to do it and stick with it. Swimming on your back is not as fucking fast as swimming on your fucking front so stop insisting on fucking doing it and making other people fucking do it to see who is the fastest at doing it in a way that is slower than the other fucking way you just did it. It just doesn't seem logical to me to do the same event 3 times and expecting 3 gold medals for doing it.

Different swimming strokes should be considered different techniques, not different events. You don't see high jumpers jumping as high as they can in one event, then lowering the bar to see who can jump the highest with one leg tied behind their back. Then demanding another gold medal for jumping a lower height but doing it in a different way.

We got Silver and Bronze on the floor exercise and the Romanian deserved the GOLD, and she got it.
