Great .nfo

worth the download

from the sample: TS Rating
[v]Excellent Color, very crisp, a little pixelation.. and a diminutive flicker. slight angle, not bad at all. we've seen worse
[s]Sound is a little below ctp standards... but it's audible for sure.

Nice quality pic,(usual TS)...sound isn't bad either(again what do you expect for a TS).

Keep up the good work Centropy....screw the detractors who only wish they could do half as well.

Cool

watched the sample & it's good to see this release looks better again because x-men 2 and matrix reloaded are only a few steps away of course
i'm not such a horror fan though so i'm not sure if i have to check this one or not but ctp keep it up

Posted by brr8760 on 04-27-2003 08:48 PM:

Welcome back! Sample is great, even by CTP standards. D/Ling right now. I was worried for a moment, only one other release in last two weeks. Can't afford to lose you guys again. That idea is scarier than this movie.

Edit Note: Watching cd1 now--> Un-freaking-believable. This is CTP's best video work yet. Picture is sharp as hell, it's very bright (essential for this movie) and the colors are vibrant and alive. Like others have said, it's almost like a DVDrip. My thumb ain't worthy.

One minor criticism (of course...)--> Like "Anger Management," the picture has been cropped too much on the top & bottom. We're losing about 15% of the picture. And as beautiful as the picture is, that's a shame.

THANK YOU CTP!!!

Posted by Orky on 04-27-2003 08:49 PM:

Quality is very nice for a TS.
Video is way above par compared to most other groups and there is nothing wrong with video.

Poor girl in the sample, getting scared shitless by that guy =)

holy crap.. this is NICE! centropy kicks major ass. this looks like a tc or even a dvd rip. although the aspectratio is kinda bad it is still awsome... this is a WINNER!!! there will be no propers of this. 9/9/?

OK i admit it i didnt actually have the sample before. but now that i just got it that ar is fine. the sample image here is very bad but on the video everything is fine. and now i keep my rating for real... it is definatly a 9/9

Posted by ixm on 04-27-2003 09:15 PM:

wow!

sweet! the quality looks perfect, but the image looks kinda "squeezed" ...

great picture and descent sound.

Posted by pezley on 04-27-2003 09:35 PM:

wow.. very nice... releases like this bring a tear to my eye ...

video is very very good.... one of the best pic from a cam ive seen.... angle does seem weird ? but nuttin major... and a HUGE improvement

audio is very hollow.... definately acceptable... but not upto par of previous ctp releases

8 for video.... easily... 9 maybe pushing it tho

so

8 / 7 / ??

Posted by jaoal on 04-27-2003 09:36 PM:

The squeeziness is due to the posters ability to take inaccurate screenshots. Grab the sample, you'll see.

I'm judging on the sample as I just finished watchin the other version. This one is zoomed in a lot more on the screen, there is more to themovie, so you are missing some of it. I know that the same scene compared on the RSP version as in the sample had a lot more in the scene, though nothing too important in that scene, perhaps there is in others. But the colors are lovely and the sound seemed OK , and typical to CTP it was in smashing detail and clarity. There is still some sort of angle, but since it's zoomed in so much it is harder to specifically tell what it is, but it does look really good though. For certain an much better experience than the RSP cam.
MrSin
Will rate when I watch this version in a few days.

Posted by K-FurY on 04-27-2003 10:20 PM:

Awesome release, colors are beautiful, sharpness and clarity are great, very very slight angle, you can only tell by looking at something that is supposed to be perfectly straight (like the door in the sample) and seeing that it is slightly curved. The video quality is probably the best from them this year and close to as good as their releases from last year. i cannot comment on the zoomed in thing since i have not watched either copies completely.

I don't see what people are complaining about in the sound department, sounds great to me, there is a slight hiss kinda thing in the background, but the sound destroys any sound from any other groups ts. Overall great release, im gonna pick up the whole thing, this movie looks pretty good.

I just hope CTP will be able to realease X2 and Matrix reloaded with this kind of quality.

Rating
9/8/???

superb quality, excellent audio and brilliant video. I think people are looking for the angle now, with cams/telesyncs ur never gonna get it 100%!

Oh and methinks CTP read vcdquality.com, nice info and glad to see they're taking constructive criticism and suggestions on board. Instead of hanging a guy from the roof, might I suggest they tie a bunch of helium balloons to the camera, giving it just enough lift to position itself at the centre of the screen.

but power dvd reports 32 mins cd 1, 22mins cd2

Amazing!!!.Quality film and a quality release. No point in pixalated VHS screeners with clocks when SVCD T/S/Cam's are far more colourful and watchable.Props to group and fingers crossed you will do the same over the summer.

well i said it would have to be a good job to do a proper since the rsp was pretty good but ctp never lets down. could be missing a little since its in ws but the colors oh those ctp colors always put other groups in their place. hopefully this quality can continue for xmen2 and reloaded. 9/8/10 great fuckin movie

Lmao. You seriously think they coulda set up some sort of pulley system to hoist a dude into the air without the cinema staff noticing? Would be pretty impressive if they could though . Anyway, picture is pretty nice, very clear, colours are nice and not too washed out, don't think the sound is too shabby either, good enough. Deffo watchable

just a quick point, if the angle is now so great, why are they still chopping of half the screen ? vital scene's of the movie are unseen, like the woman bleeding to death in the guy's arm's clearey scene in the movie trailer, or the ending were u cant even see the vehicle...

Posted by HomeSlice on 04-28-2003 09:50 PM:

Superb release! The jpegs are all screwed up, so don't judge the angle by them, because in the sample, there is no angle problem. The video is excellent, it has vibrant colors and (as stated before) has no angle that I can notice. The audio is good to, no problem there. I give it 8.5/8/x

Oh, and you gotta love that nfo!

Posted by faYth on 04-29-2003 09:15 PM:

for all the dumb kids thinking "hehe howd they hang a guy from the ceiling" what they ment is that they filmed from the center of the theatre instead from the side rows by the handicap jacks. they probably got the video and sound at 2 seperate times and put them together with an editor. you can tell that it was taken from floor level from the conney (i think i made that up)-ness of the movie. maybe one day they could get some hookups at a theatre and film from where the reel is. but hey, if they could do that why not make a telecine.

anyway this is great and centropys new sources are great. keep it up for the busy months of may and june

Posted by rappa on 04-29-2003 10:48 PM:

9/8/9 movie was excellent along with the rls, probably one of the best ts' ever. Picture is pretty darn clear, a lil pixelated, not dark, good colors and and sound is pretty good too.

::Edit, after watching CD1, a lil is cropped on the bottom, nothing big was missing tho and i didnt notice any cropping from the sides, the sides, also, b16a2, in ws, they crop the bottom and make it wider, hence the widescreen.

Great release CTP but I think I'll pass on this one, too much of the sides, top and bottom are cropped out. Great quality no doubt but I can't stand cropped image, you can see that ALOT is gone from the bottom and top (look at the intro credits to see what I mean) and quite a bit from the sides. VideoCD will probably release a telecine at anytime now anyways.

Thumbs up

Great video and audio.

Audio is definitely where this one outshines the other release. Video is better too, although like some have said, the very bottom of the screen seems a bit chopped off. It's nitpicking to say it detracts from the movie at all though. Unless, of course, you really give a crap about the Director of Photography's name. heh

Audio was as perfect as a telesync can get as far as I'm concerned.

The movie was great too. Cusack deserves some kind of award for this. Good Hitchcock-type mystery with a nice 'Sixth Sense' mindscrew.
