pic is a little dark, but clear, sound is very low though turning up dident do it justice, enjoyable film though so I marked it high
picture is fine, audio is okay, SVCD wasn't really needed.
And it it also out of sync.
7/6/x
::edit, it is also apparent that I can't spell::
Picture is very very nice, left side seems a little bigger then right, sound is very ncie too direct, def a good proper even thought APM's release was very well done, hopefully we see releases liek this in the future from TcS...8/8/9...MOVIE OWNED.

I watched the sample.
Video is ok... 7
Sound is very clear 7
Movie ?
Now this one is out of sync...
Don't see a reason to proper the APM rls
picture is the same as apm
sound is lower....
movie is very good
8/4/9
Bullshit release. Desperate action by TcS to make APM look bad when infact all that was better was the color (which is a little better)
Just check out the top of the screen ! its diagonal. Couldnt even crop it with right black bars when propering ? Sound is def. not better then APM release. And who gives a f*cken crap about nero complaincy ? like anyone is burning SVCD of a TS these days.
and those chins makin silvers of uhm will fix that anyways ;-)
Release not needed imo therefor 4/4/.. DUPE
:: Its not a dupe if they labeled proper. dumbass of the day goes to you.
wow !!! awsome very very awsome
color at first is greyish ... then the colour kicks in ... which i find strange ... whats the full release like ? anyone know
less cropping it seems ... dunno bout audio as im too lazy to hook my speakers up ,... hoping its good
is a angle...... but nuttin compared to ctp's angle .
heh .. oh yea .... hmm left does appear to be higher than right
nearly got the apm release ... dunno wether to cancel and get this ?
very very good tcs ... you definately should release ts's more often ... you have vastly improved ..
seems to be slight motion blur ... not much tho
if u sort these little things out .. you have a great setup .
very impressed

Judging from sample:
Video: A little washed out, colors could be a bit brighter, but overall better than APM release.
Audio: Clear, better than APM release.
This is the one to get so far.
8/8/X
From Sample -
7.5/7
Props to TcS, but it's still 3cd's?? I saw this movie on Premiere Night, and it didn't seem long enough to justify it being 3 CD's? Ohh well maybe I should just look it up and do the math...
As for the movie, eughh, I don't see AT ALL why people are giving it much much higher marks then it deserves, the action scenes wern't even good because nobody could die or get hurt it just went on forever.... but i guess it's worth watching, i dunno maybe everyone dressed up as Pirates and throwing swords around the theatre are fogging my memory...
Movie - 6 (but a real close 5.5)
It's pretty much nice, a tad bit better than the APM. If you have the APM, keep the APM, don't waste your b/w downloading another release that's not a major improvement. 7.5/7.5/7...
Why is everyone saying TCF? Is this a TcS or TCF release? According to the "group field" on the VQ home page it says TcS, which is mostly a DVDRip group.
Somebody please set it straight.... TCF or TcS?
after viewing sample, all i have to say is wow... this looks amazing. Going to download this asap
Also noted the change in colours near the end of the sample
8/8
Wow, very nice job TcS. Judging from the sample, the video is nice with strong colors. Audio seems to be a
tad muffled, but not very noticeable. Overall a nice release.
/me gets the popcorn
8/7/?
Yes, its TcS, NOT TCF. As far as i know this is the first Telesync to be released by The Chronic Squad. They mostly stick to Screeners, and DVDRips. Apparantly they took TCF's lead, and have broken into the Telesync scene! If you can come up with quality like this..then keep it up!! This is the best release so far. If you have APM, stick with it, if you have TGF, then do yourself a favor, and get a better release. This is one of the best movies of the summer. If you don't see it in theatres, you will want the best copy you can get for this one. Yes, and its 3 CD's. The movie is 2 and 1/2 hours, I think 3 CD's is warranted.
CATBOX
have a strange feeling once the jpg's get posted the voting will raise higher.
::edit - They won't. TcS ask us not to post any JPG's or NFO's for their releases. So we fully comply with a groups request. -M$
Definetely better then apms copy. Sound is fully insync and audible even though its a little low.
7/6/9 quality is ok which sound was a bit better though gj anyways..
From the sample this has better color , but it has alot of pixulation and not worth the d/l is you already have the apm release . 5.5/6/6
From Sample
Video : Brighter then the APM release, but also more noticeable motion blur. Less cropping also then the APM, but not by much.
Audio : Seemed to have an artificial hollowness to it, but still audible.
IMHO - this barely qualifies as a proper, and should be labeled a dupe. I'm sticking with the APM release.

Will edit this after i get it.
More colorful/pixelated than the APM release and the aspect ratio seems a little off, the image is pretty squished because of that... Also it's improperly deinterlaced, some interlacing lines appear in various scenes. Audio is lower than APM's release but it's PROPERLY in sync which IS why it IS a valid PROPER. Proper does not neccessarily mean it has to be a million times better kids so no it's NOT a dupe. Ah, don't ya love VCDQuality posters so much so say yet so so little do they know... Don't forget about the technicalities
Although TcS should REPACK this release with a properly deinterlaced one, so anyone up for PROPER REPACK or PROPER of PROPER. LOL 7/7/8
Video is pretty nice, the interlacing is hardly noticeable, only in fast moving scenes. Audio is clear, just a little out of sync. Think too many people are being too critical, and comparing this to a centropy release, this IS after all their first TS, and worthy of a proper.
7/7/?.
watched the whole film and it pixelates alot sound okay but picture keeps loosing colour and going blue shouldnt have been a proper ........... cause it isnt

The sound on this release is 10x better then APM.
APM had a really bad dist on thier sound, this one is much clearer.
AND the picture is better to, better balance of colour.

Ok lets set this straight, this is a tcs release not a tcf release, this version was nice, slightly better then apms tho props to atm getting a watchable and enjoyable copy out, ive gone threw amd watched most of the movie, the quality is good close to but not as close as it could be to the masters(centropy)but hey who wants to mess with the gods. As far as the sample ive been wondering if the color change at the end isnt in fact the transition from the one side of the ship to the other side where the burning wreckage of another ship resides
good job guys keeps up the good work look forward to more tcs releases of new movies if they look like this
8/7/9 Picture is very clear. Stange thing was that all of a sudden the picture turned a redish tint then back to normal or a blue tint. Didn't last for very long. In the 1st cd i belive, the camera moves and zooms out. Still get the entire picture in it though. Sound occasionaly dropped out but otherwise the sound was very clear and wasn't really a nuisance to me.

Picture does fade in and out of colors at times. Other than that, it is very good.
Watching CD1 and the audio really seems out of sync by a fraction of a second. That's irratating. Audio is slightly ahead of picture. CD3 seems to have the problem either corrected or slightly better. It's too late right now for me to concentrate and figure it out.
Looks like a promising movie.
7.5/7/?

Great picture and equally great sound. I don't know about you, but I hope this is just the beginning for TcS telesyncs. The sound is at par with a typical Centropy release, however, the video is better. I've always had problems with Centropy releases due to the angle (I'm picky, it bothers me) and there either being too much red or blue in the picture. The video in this release has great color (I like the color to be somewhat dull rather than blindingly bright).
That's just my take
8/8/One big fucking 10
::edit: don't flame me, I'm not putting down Centropy, they kick ass and I'm thankful. Just thought I'd add that.
this is impressive but ill stick to the apm, for all of you that bitch about three cds any movie over 113 min will go to three cds, so even if ctp releases this theres will be 3 as well. props to TcS and hopefully they can bring more like this to the table, and props to NOX for their release of lxg, and props to tgf as well. lookin good for the summer flix!

Good Sound and Picture
The angle is good, picture is a bit bland but clear, sound is great. One annoying problem: sound isn't in sync with video. =\
I give it 8/6 (outta sync)/9

"Signatures Suck"
Hasn't anyone else noticed that this source is the same as the first release by TGF. I realize this release isn't as cropped as much, but it is definitly from the same source. The first part that tipped me off is that they both have a static "pop" noise right after the opening credits. Also, they both zoom in and out on the picture in the exact same spots. Here are some examples of things that happen in the exact same time in both the TGF and TcS release:
29:07 - camera movement (2 people walking ontop of castle)
29:17 - camera zooms in (right before dad says "whats that")
30:07 - camera zooms out (pirates attacking)
30:10 - camera zooms out more (more attacking)
Anyway, I just thought I'd point that out, as it is very odd. The TcS release is definitly superior, but it is definitly from the same source, weird...
Someone mentioned earlier that the TcS version might be the same as the APM release, can anyone with a copy of the APM release check the above mentioned times, and see if it is indeed the same source?

Great TS
Why isn't everyone giving this the props it deserves? This is one of the best TSs out there right now. It has vivid colors and great sound. I haven't finished the whole flick yet, but man this IMO exceeds recent CTP quality. And it was released nice and fast. I'm OK with three Cds anytime if this quality comes out.
IMO this looks as good as a VHS rip. That's watching it burned on my APEX. Keep up the great work guys.
MrSin
Nice rls, I never had any issues with it..
Pic is ok, and audio has no problems that I came across.
So overall, not a bad.!!
8/7/8
i just watched this version and im pretty disappointed. The colours are very unstable (switching constantly). Also the video is very dark, but this can be fixed by messing with the brightness on your tv). There also seems to be a bit a scene missing on cd2. As for the audio there are a few gltches and it sometimes goes in and out.
6/7/7
I must say, very impressive for a Telesync. The video was gorgeous except for the changing of tints during the film, and i don't know if a few scenes fot cut because it glitches a couple times, and one time it glitches and they are in a bar fighting or someshit(was a little confused there). Everything seemed to be insync just fine, the audio was a tad low but none the less, great audio too, this is one of the best telesyncs I have ever seen.
9/8/10
This is one of the best TSs out there right now. It has great colors and great sound. There are a few flickers. But all in all
this is one of there best releases i've seen.
8/8/8
Just watched through both this and TGF's release and both are of the same source, same tint changes, same clitch when Jack sparrow first steals the interceptor and pop hes at some bar getting slaped by the women. The only difference between the sources is that TCS cut out the scene when the cam goes dark for 5 mins when the female lead is speaking with the chambermaid before the pirates invade the town in the begining. Just had to point these out because it seems no one else caught on to this.
OMG This is a great release, i watched the whole thing last bight on my DVD PLAYER and the audio was great, the pic was straight and had great colours until the colour contast changed on it, i changed the colour contrast on my tv to make it even better. There was a scene that was cut, not a lot though, and the camera zoomed in a few times, and also ad i mentioned the color contrast changed a few times which was annoying, but for a first release it was impressive. If all these problems was not there i think would be the best TS ever, because come parts looked like a VHS SCREENER. Nice one TcS and i hope u lot release more TS's like that but without those problems, like BAD BOYS 2 one the day it is out
Audio 8: Was nearly as perfect as you can get apart from a few scenes where the sound went low for a few seconds, but it was still great.
Video 7: Picture was sharp, sometimes was blurry, and camera moves a few times, and the colour contrast changed a few times, nearly the best TS EVER. Oh yer and when it goes dark ppl will get annoyed, because u cant see much, but any TS will do that beacuse of a dark scene that is in the movie.
For a first release they killed some older groups, and if it wasent for those probs, they would of KILLED centropy by QUALITY and SPEED. Thanks to all the groups that spend there time making TS's and would ppl stop complaining when a release is crap quality, and say the group is crap, because they do this for FREE and if you dont like it then u know what u can do, u can just wait for a better release or DO IT URSELF IF UR SO SMART.
Thanks again to EVERY group out there and i hope to see more quality releases like this TcS one.
worked great on standalone player just a few audio glitches like mentioned nothing major imo
7/8/9 good job tcs
Absolutely no serious problems with this release - video and audio were just as nice if not better than any CTP release I've seen in the last coupla months.
The audio was a little low, and I'm kinda anal about that, so I took the audio levels up 8dB in CoolEdit before I burned the discs, but anyone else out there would prolly be happy just turning the TV volume up a bit. BTW, absolutely no a/v sync problems that I noticed when played on my Apex 703.
Another plus about this one (for Americans) is that it's in NTSC, so there's no f**king around needed with the PAL->NTSC conversion that I must do on all CTP releases.
All in all, great job on this one; I will be completely happy with it until a DVD Scr comes out...
9/8/9
BR
Nice release, but for those of you who still have to see this, i'd recommend watching it in a movie theatre. You'll definately get ur money's worth out of this movie.
Props go out to TcS for the nice TS
Mak.
Good job guys! Keep em coming!!
Shite interlacing traces
Good focus,
bad encode
While each fram looks good, the encoder did not conquer the interlacing problems caused by the camera. The quality does not warrent the bitrate. 3 discs is excessive if you cant get rid of the interlacing traces.
good snipping though, the first two discs fit snugly on to a 700 meg disc.
The camera was bumped in the first disc and it takes about two minutes to get it lined up again.
It was also really dark during these actino scenes.
Don't make it a three disc till you get rid of the traces of interlacing.
cheers, fun to see still.
great quality rip, nice picture, quite clear sound and a great movie!!
8/7/9
audio 6 video 7
there must be 10 minutes missing between cd1 and cd2,
I almost thought Id put in the 3rd cd by mistake.
I agree with n00b krets, I wish the interlacing traces were
taken care of, otherwise the bitrate should have been lowered enuf to fit this on 2 cds, although some good snipping couldve fit the first 2 cds onto 1 cd.... hahaha just kidding, now I know why theyre called "n00bs", I had a good laugh reading that post

This movie rocks. This release could use some help.
Video - sharp pic, chops quite a bit during any action sequence. The color tint of the camera flops back and forth between "inside" and "outside" setting at least 10x throughout the release and spends considerable time in each. (grey/vibrant)
Audio - sound is mostly good, albeit quiet. It does range up and down and I had to keep the remote handy when the volume went up (it mostly stayed low)
Movie - great show. I'm glad to see Depp around and playing parts like this. The movie is good fun and is probably a decent movie to introduce older children to 'zombies' if they're of that age
One point... early on in the movie.. probably 20-30 minutes (I'm not sure really, just know it was CD1) there was a point where the two set off in a ship. Then you get a quick black screen followed by a white-flash and bunch of multi-color pixels.. and then they're suddenly in a town.... Anyone who watched it in the theatre know what all was cut out, if anything?

well, I'm told nothing is missing.. maybe my dvd player just read it wrong and put the extra crap up there instead of just a transition screen.

well, I'm just glad to know it wasn't my dvd player acting up
I may well go to the theatre and see it this weekend.
Well what can i say i watched this release yesterday on my LCD display through my progresive scan DVD player and it is really amazing. The reason the tone of colour changes is because Tcs do it on the camera with the indoor outdoor switch this allows more or less white through the lense hence changing the colour so that indoor scenes become more viberant. The movie was brillient and the sound wasn't bad either. There is a missing part and can anyone tell me if anything important happens in it or do u just see them sail into the port where he gets slaped. oh yeah i watched abit of it on my TV and it was heavily pixalated did anyone else have this problem.

I Love this but not as much as i love Quality
Hmm
I was expecting alot when I read the reviews of this release, and the reality of it is that it's not that great. First the positive points:
1. The movie was great (9)
2. The clarity of the picture was great (9)
Here are some negatives to watch for:
1. Audio level drops dramatically at some points through the film, and it seems as though they intentionally altered the audio so that the voices were loud and the music was low, because in nearly every scene the music sounds extremely distant, while the voices are clear (generally).
2. There are seemingly random points where the camera zooms in and out, and other places where it pans. Why? Who knows. The camera also shifts back and forward like they were trying to get the film into view-but this happens a good 30 minutes into it (a bit late).
3. There is a point where they are sailing to Tortuga that magically skips directly into the town. Though this happened on my dvd player (and several other people in earlier posts), I have yet to see if it happens on my pc.
4. The color tint varies awkwardly, particularly later in the film. There are points where it starts fluctuating rapidly, making the characters go from pink to faded and back several times.
The movie itself was very good, 9 4 9, the audio was not very well done for this release.
The level of contrast changes every now and then, not a big problem though. I just liked the quality, better than centropy lately!
7/7/8
Does any of the releases have the easter egg ending?
Of the 2 releases, NOX and CTP, neither has the special treat after the credits setting up PotC 2. I didn't stay all the way to the end of the credits and missed it. I hoped to find one of the releases that captured it. Any help here as to which one has it?
If all of them missed it, then none of them are worth crap.
I thought this was a very well done rip... audio was pretty good, video was okay (a little too blue for my liking). Overall I'd say 8/8/9
I finally got around to downloading after sitting on the TGF on for a while. It's much better and darn good movie to boot. I'd given the video a 10 if it wasn't for some of the glitches and stuff people above have already mentioned.
9/8/10.
7.5/7/9
Frames jumped alot but that didnt keep me from loving this movie.. If u want a more fluid moving version, get the APM release or wait on a dvdrip. If you want one with better colors and slighty better sound, get this one.
