A File i havn't seen before

Does anyone no what a pv. file is. Most films i download convert to dvd fine, but a couple i have downloaded i can't get to work. As usual i unrar the file giving me bin and cue files which i then convert to mpeg using vcd gear and burn to dvd using nero. But with some films when i use vcd gear to convert to mpeg, it ends up as a pv. file which i can't do anything with.(Am i making any sense). Any help on this would be much appreciated.

try burning the bin and cue and watching the movie.
