major annoying problem

Okay I have this huge annoying problem when I download a movie. I downloaded two versions of sin city and both have the exact same problem. The vide plays much slower than the sound. The one I just got was
Sin.City.DVDSCR.DVDRip.PROPER.XviD-DIMENSION
Now I read on here, the .info, and on the site I got it from that the sync was perfect. But the video still plays slow as hell for me. I got the newest codecs and I tried every single player I got from windows media to power dvd to bs player to winamp. All the same crap though. I find it hard to believe that some how all the files are messed up and some how everyone else is having a great time with it. If there is any suggestions or ideas that could really help i would appreciate it so much. This is such annoying crap when you download a file for hrs and get this annoyign problem. I don't care it's free, it's annoying and a waste of time. Please help. >_<

download the klite codec pack which can be found free online and reboot then the video and audio should synch right. I had the same prob with one that id downloaded.

::EDIT:: Codec packs are the work of Satan - Neversoft::

Use MPlayer (seach this forum for a link I posted [if you're using windows]). If you're using Linux - go here --> http://mplayerhq.hu/

If you press the +/- keys it will allow you to adjust the audio to fit the video on the fly...

Nuke for out-of-sync 15 minutes into cd2? No problem for MPlayer.

Fuck kodec packs. MPlayer has all it needs built in.

alright, I'll give that a try out tonight. I am about to get offline in a bit but if anything good happens I'll let you know. This is a very annoyign problem. And it only happens with avi's. The svcd of madagascar played perfectly.
