Well,
This did need a proper. I burned the original release by that group, and it froze more than the amount stated by this proper group. I thought I had a bad burn, wasted another disc to burn, and long and behold, still freezing problems.
The movie is good though. Better than I had expected. Worth that watch. Get this release if you are going to burn.
Quality seems a little better on this release too. Only watched a little so far. Might just be my eyes. Thanks to both groups however for the effort, much appreciated.
Cheers
Bad frames are still there...
why proper a group if you're not actually going to check your own release

either the retail release has a mastering error or CuriousJotos just remuxed the original release
Hey
Thanks for pointing that out, I am going to stop downloading it all. No point if it is not going to be a fully functional working copy.
As an additional review, I think this is a movie worth buying. I enjoyed the special effects and even the acting. Looked nice on my sony 55"
It is a fully functonial working copy, the bad frames happen for half a second, and havn't caused me any problems in any DVD Players.
Im thinking the original source has the same bad frames, as it unlikely two different groups would make identical mistakes, and this one looks quite a bit better than the previous one, especially in high motion scenes.
9/9/?
Hmm... Almost looks like the problem that "The Fog" had a while back, which was also untouched video + glitch in a couple frames. If I remember correctly, that was a Scenarist issue that causes these bad frames, and a PPF patch fixed that up... Which also means a PPF should be around (hopefully) shortly for this bad boy.
It'll be interesting to see if Warner Bros recall this faulty title or dump it on an unsuspecting public and hope no-one will notice? Previous experience suggests the latter
This release seemed fine for me.. I didnt notice anything wrong with it at all...
