Calling all XBMC users...

So I just softmodded my xbox using mechassault and discovered the wonders of xbmc. I was gonna put this in the game discussion forum but I didn't think it would be noticed by as many people and it is more media related then gaming related.

I was wondering what are your favourite scripts for xbmc?
I have the apple movie trailers script which is pretty cool.
I just started a few days ago and have the xbox connected to the network streaming my movie library from my pc...I LOVE IT.

Also if anyone wants to explain their xbox setup, im lookin for any kind of suggestions that can be done with the UXE softmod.

Sorry guv, I moved the thread into the gaming forum anyway... If people "avoid" it then it never will become popular will it? Besides, you'd be suprised and at least you'll only get interested posters instead of "LOLWTF, here's a picture of some spastics!"

so havent tryed any scripts yet.
But the Skin i use is XBMC360 fucking cool.

Xbmc is only the start of cool shit the xbox does. Do a google search for "xbox linux", i recommend gentoox, i run mine all the time with it, its been up for about two days now.

Best skin..Do another google search for "Blackbolt", theyre a team that does skins.

Since you just started into the modding scene, get yourself a nice new case, customxps.com has great shit, 28.00 with postage, i got mine from there, it has neat lights too.

And get yourself a new harddrive, anything under 160gb is a waste of time. You'll have to use xboxhdm (which is a linux app) to format the drive to fatx...Read tutorials on it. If you had a chip it would be easier. Go for a Maxtor, theyre more likely to lock. You'll have to softmod it again after you put the new hdd in..Make sure you use unleashx and format the G drive so you can get all the space out of the drive. And enable the drive in evox too, its under the options menu...

XBMC is awesome. I really like the Launch script (yahoo music vids) has loads of music videos on there and you can search for ones you want aswell. I have a XBMC in the bedroom for when i go to bed hooked up to the network via a wireless bridge and i have XP MCE in the lounge hooked up to the HDTV i then have a "file server" in the cupboard with loads of disks in filled with media (pictures,movies,music) and just stream everything from there on to both boxes. I actually sold my old xbox when i got the 360 but within a couple of months i got another one and chipped it purely for XBMC cus its so good.

http://www.xbmcscripts.com is a cool site what i would recommend is dling the XBMCscripts script and then use that to install all the other scripts from that!

dont run that many scripts on mine. Like pho said, the only ones i find usefull are the youtube and apple ones.

I find the scripts are entertaining but there's not that many there that are truly useful. The movie trailers one is one of the better ones, and the YouTube one has its moments when it doesn't spaz out. I quite like the G.A.N. one, as it relays episodes of DemocracyNow etc, but I don't find the time to run it very often.

ShoutcastX is fun too if you watch GBStv.

I don't run many scripts, I just use the media center functions... a lot. I can't imagine watching anything on the PC anymore.
It's unfortunate that the 360 media player doesn't have half as many features. I'd figure the netbios shares and xvid/divx support would be standard fare. Not to mention faster seeking (jumping anywhere in play time) and browsing my media in folders (instead of through unscalable meta tags).
If the Xbox could handle HD and x264, I'd see no reason to upgrade to another media center for the next 5 years or so.
