And so the best new show this season is...

...Australian. Guess the writers knew the upcoming strike would disrupt programming so badly that it simply wasn't worth writing a new show that didn't suck.

So the best new show in my opinion is Summer Heights High. An australian mockumentary that's happily riding high with The Office and People Like Us.

It's a fantastic setup... follow the antics of 3 people at an atypical Aussie school over the course of a term, except the 3 people are all played by Chris Lilley, who also wrote and produced the show. Lilley does a phenomenal job creating the three very different personalities, as well as doing a pretty damned good job blending in with the rest of the teenage cast (who are natural throughout the show).

What is it with these Australian comedies where the actors feel like they have to play multiple parts.It really does my head in.It puts me right off from the word go.Kath and Kim is the fucking same.
Not for me .
Just Horrible man

If it helps, I didn't like what I've seen of Kath and Kim either.

It might be good but I was put off right away.If something annoys me I just cant give it the time of day.
Kind of off subject here but did anyone see The Lost Room when it was on the scifi channel.That was a good one.I just got the series of a friend and i enjoyed it.
If you never seen it give it a go.

Of the new shows this year. Chuck, Pushing Daisies, Life, Bionic Woman, Journeyman, Carpoolers were added to my list to watch. Only one of those shows is still on my tv list and that is Journeyman and I only catch up with that once every few weeks when there is absolutely nothing else to watch. So, I guess Journeyman wins by virtue of the fact it is the least shit.

Journeyman and Carpoolers are the best new shows.

Pushing Daisies turn out to be shit alright. I still think Life is a good show. While Journeyman is one of the best. Reaper was entertaining too. I never gave chuck or Bionic Woman a chance as the pilots weren't the best.
