Ad-Aware 2007
I bought this yesterday and it's driving me fuckin nuts.
It keeps deleting cookies, so i turned that option off but it still fuckin deletes them.
and everytime i reboot PC all the ad watch settings are turned off!
Anyone else got it, is it the settings or just a heap of stinking shit?

99% of the time I would of done that but in a momement of madness i decided to buy software. Dunno what came over me.
I've always found those applications a bit "iffy" in the way they operate and tend to block shit that I actually want/need and do everything they can to piss me off.
I haven't really got much of a suggestion for your specific issue takwhori beyond asking if you're logged in with an admin account and have you checked the logs in event viewer (start>run>eventvwr) to see if AdAware is complaining in any of the subsections in there?
Tip... Right-click the various sections in event viewer and clear the existing events. Use AdAware, break it, reboot, check the event log - it might show where things are fucking up.
If you folks want to be more "like me" (well hung and cool n shit) then you should use Firefox with ABP installed and periodically check your PC with HijackFree from Emsisoft and then a quick dose of RogueRemover for good measure.

Good on ya Tak, most people would just download and use a serial or crack for a small proggy like that.

Ad-Aware SE from Lavasoft has always been free for personal use. Used it for years without issues. As long as you don't use the dirty tampon of web browsers, you shouldn't be finding much of anything. The only cookies it has ever deleted for me were a few tracking ones.
Neversoft. Thanks for advice.
Munson. I was using the free one for years but that is used for getting rid of shit AFTER it's on your PC, i upgraded because I wanted to stop it getting on in first place.
