Have been wanting to see this. Mediocre quality. There is a blur that goes from about the middle (of the top of the screen) basically all the way to the right side. Not a big distraction. Thanks for the release.
V-8 (Not very sharp)
A-7.5 (Not very good, kind of sounded weird)
M-8 (Twisted movie, which I like. Very strange)
Note: Also check out the original German release from 1997. It's the same movie, as far as dialogue goes. I have it but have yet to watch it.

Watched the whole flick .. the blur was a little annoying in spots .. couldn't see the faces, but the movie itself was pretty good, a little different then your regular horror flicks so I liked the originality .. rated as follows
A=8
V=6
M=7
Good screener. Minor imperfections as noted. Movie I found disturbing. Usually like these types but not this one. Just me I would expect.
8/8/6
I thought pic was very grainy for screener...i would say this is vhs screener not dvd screener....dark scenes were very dark, could not see anything. Audio was fine. What a fucking twisted movie this was...and disturbing. Kinda shocked that Naomi Watts would do such a low budget flick.
Video - 7
Audio - 9
Movie - Not sure how to rate this twisted fucked up movie?? I won't be right the rest of my life..lol
Didn't really like the movie but have to agree with everyone else on the point of this being a very disturbing movie. In terms of quality though the blur was very annoying but manageable, as mentioned in some very rare scenes it did cut out the faces for a brief few seconds. It's certainly watchable though not up to the standards of a everyday screener.
Video - 6
Audio - 8

V- 8
A - 7 (slight hiss when turned up loud. It really affects the film since there are only 2 songs on the entire soundtrack.)
M - 9
[SPOILERS]
Great film. Same director , same film. He reshot the film shot for shot for an American audience and I believe it went over flawless. For those of you who found the film disturbing, I am sorry but you just didn't get the idea of the film. The reality of the film, if there was any part really, was to portrayal real life. The film did a beautiful job of creating a detachment between the audience and the characters. No violence is actually shown in a scene, it is just implied. However the family you are once attached to emotionally in the beginning become just another family you read about in the newspaper. All of the red herrings in the film were great. The knife in the beginning on the boat, the kid making a run for it, etc. All of these give false hope to the audience where it becomes a giant mindfuck for the viewer. To a point where the characters of the film are literally looking into the camera and fucking with the viewer. With all that said and no spoiler tag attached , you can still watch this film and still have your mind blown. Possibly one of the best and true examples of shock horror in the industry. Only a better representation would be the original German version of the same name.
The director is a die hard for simplicity in his films and likes to keep a constant of the names of his characters. If you enjoyed this film, you will love his 2005 film Caché.
P.S. The casting of Michael Pitt in this film was genius because no American actor could have played a pretentious prick as well as he did.
