Well holy fuck... someone's back and looks like with skill... not sure if sample if reflective of movie, but that rates up there with one of the BEST and most clear TS ive seen in a LONG time.. hope it is.. good work guys.

ok ... just finished watching FTF & this pre's ;/

This is Sweet ... nice to make an apperance Centropy. The Colors are nice , a little blocky/pixelated ... widescreen. This Movie yes is a *bit* cropped you can tell by the black bars top & bottom but who cares ... the subs are left to right and what matter . Sounds excellent also.

As TS rating:

7/9/6

Ahhh yeah..Great to hear you're back CTP.
(And to think some people bothered with the Logistic and FTF dupe)
Surely this will go down as a landmark film of the decade, congrats and thank you. I've always had the utmost respect for Centropy due to their quality.

Id say this is now over, we can settle down and wait for the DVD (unless a Screener pops up) Lets go back to our lives and thank CTP for coming through for us

wow
nice TS
haven't seen a TS from this group in quite a while. looks very nice, maybe a bit cropped for widescreen look, but all subs are indeed visible. Overall very nice.

quite a shock... but kidnda glad to see them return ,

release is actually quite strong... not as colorful and vibrant as some of the latest tcr releases but the audio is spot on as ctp's always were... video isnt too cropped or no noticible angle

7/8/ no idea

Posted by firefighter on 02-28-2004 09:51 AM:

After going through this movie - i dont know if FTF's copy started late or if it totally blew by me the scene in the begging where there is betrayal. Anyway from what i seen , this copy is very nice, no subs cropped out . Colors were good, faded in and out at times & You got the FULL movie. Sounded above average for a TS. Gj Centropy.

Guess Who's Coming to the Crucifixion?

Holy shit, they're back!

Based on CD 1, this is first-rate quality. THANKS and WELCOME BACK (?). Unfortunately, I suspect that CTP is just messing with our heads. But I'm okay with that.

This is actually the same original source as the other two versions, but the difference in quality is astounding. I didn't realize how badly these original sources were stomped on by the time they get to (or leave) most groups. No one can be that bad, or good, at encoding, can they?

I don't know how CTP does it. They're like a good magic act.

1. Your an idiot.
2. TCR are better than that, they will not PROPER a release that cleary(going by the votes and posts in here) does not need to be propered. The best you can hope for would be an internal release by them, if and only, they feel there copy (if they even have one) is in some way better. And even that is unlikely.

Judging by the jpg image the picture should be straight and since its not fullframe and the entire subtitle in the jpg was in the screen, i assume that no subtitles are cut off and that it doesn't have as much of a zoom as the other two releases.

Can anybody confirm?

Either way...its a good...release...its a shame that the camera moves around and zooms later on. Also people moving around in the beginning. Also whats the deal with the end just cutting off missing a good 1 min and 11 seconds of importance...not good for your return CTP..might want to repack cd2..

Yes u are correct, all the subs are clearly there, less zoom. If you look closely the cropping on the bottom was just to make sure they got the subs in, so they set camera lower, and cropped the bottom up. (good thinking there)

Are you kidding me? You think this is the same original source? CTP has their own cammer. This is definately not the same crap source the other groups released. In fact all 3 groups had a different source.
Anyways Great release CTP glad to see someone is paying attention to quality. Good movie too by the way.

TPOTC re-review...

After watching the entire movie. This release sucks. Sure the picture is sharp, but:

1. the ending cuts off early

2. the picture changes colour all the time. even going b&w

3. the moments of crappy audio were annoying

4. people moving round at the start was annoying

Based on a re-rating of the whole thing:

6/5

Posted by Moloko_Plus on 02-28-2004 08:44 PM:

Im actually going to have to agree with Mystic Slippers.

Also I might like to add: When i play the first cd, it crashes WinDVD, PowerDVD and Media player classic right in the end All giving "Cannot end program" errors, instead of properly ending. This happens when i mount the image with alcohol 120%.
The black and white/color/blue switchings are rather annoying.
I havent gotten to the 2nd cd yet..After playing it in PowerDVD the whole computer crashed, had to reboot. In total I was able to watch about 40 mins of the first cd. I know it wont happen on everyones computer and it probably wouldnt happen if i burned it on cd, but why kill my drive when you can just mount it (and have it crash)?

6.5 Video (color flickers are terrible)
9 Audio (whenever it decided to not "drop out" without reason)
10 Movie
5 Playback (sorry, ill be getting a different source..If it doesnt play properly i have no need for it) And this is a 120 minute movie, why is there only 2cds and the first one is 40 mins?

This isn't up to par with CTP's usual standards. Its been about 5 months since they did a TS too.
So..Looks like im going to wait for another one. Wonder if TCR will proper..

Posted by TheEvil0ne on 02-28-2004 09:16 PM:

I'm sitting here wondering if the last couple of posters watched the same release I did. My CD1 is 58:53 so I don't know where he came up with 40 minutes. Also, the only thing missing from the end is the screen saying "Directed by Mel Gibson" and I think we all know this by now.

A very watchable release, much more so than the other 2 releases.

How anyone can rate this lower than 7.5 can’t be watching this release. Colors vary at times, but if your watching the movie and following it its hardly noticeable , takes 5 mins to adjust camera, then is perfect through out, no subs missing at all in the whole move, audio is excellent, drop outs you can count on one hand.

Movie was very good, better than expected from the script I read a while back, not a movie you can just watch off hand, must pat attention to details.

Overall I’d rate this 8/8/8 no reason I can see for another release unless another source (in that I mean Telecine or Screener) and welcome back CTP, if I was a betting man than I would have had some cash on this movie to come back on with all the press its receiving, so they can add a little more now your back!

Centropy BLAH

First off, its so damn funny how everyone ( with the exception of M$ ) flocks to kiss Centropy's ass after they haven't released a TS in months ( Last September ). Yall need to get your butts off the Centropy bandwagon and move on with life. Second, as Mystic pointed out, this isn't that great of a release for reasons that don't have to be gone over again.

5.5/5/10

I think TS should be phased out as CAM's have been, the quality just dosen't justify most movies potential.

Centropy, stick to Screeners and DVDRips, its what you do best.

Mystic Slippers has this one reviewed perfectly. Is it watchable? I would say yes. The color changes are one thing but that audio is what really drove me up the wall, like someone turning the Vol up and down. Which happens way to often.

Need to get a copy and want it now this is your copy. CTP or not CTP is irrelevant, glad to see a watchable copy!

Thanks MS for your kick ass review!

Posted by frak on 02-29-2004 11:54 AM:

Watched this release on the TV tonight.

The video quality is excellent as is the audio. Nice to
see Centropy back. At the very least for all those
who seem to hate them (why I'll never know - i don't
care who releases something, long as the quality is good)
that they did raise the bar - and we are all benefiting
from it now with these new groups.

Video: 8.5
Audio: 8
Movie: 9

I was suprised how good the movie was.. I was looking forward
to being rather bored - just wanted to see what the hype was
about but it was engaging and the cinematography was
amazing.

Nice release, will do until a dvd-rip comes out, picture and audio are fine, a few color flashes, and a few audio drop outs... but since there is no friggin english in the movie and it's completely subtitled the audio drop outs have little or no effect on the viewing enjoyment.

There is NOTHING missing from the end of the film, after it pans to show him walking out of the tomb and fades to black the next thing that pops up is "A Mel Gibson Production" and the credits roll.... the entire movie is intact...

The movie was good... personally when I heard it was subtitled all the way through I figured i'd never make it through it... however Gibson has done an excellent job of being able to keep it interesting enough to overlook the fact that you have to read the entire movie... It's not gonna run and make me go to church, since I believe organized religion is just a money making scam.. however it was a very powerful film.

Man, some of you guys are WAAAAY too fussy. I think you've been spoiled by some of the recent SVCD-TS' that have been coming out.

This is the best version of the movie out there, it's pretty much up to Centropy's usual standards, the problem is, the standards have gone up since the last time CTP released a SVCD-TS (ie TCR)

Video - Very clear, a couple of times the color bounces to black and white (and only for around 5 seconds per time) but it doesn't spoil the movie. - 7

Audio - Very good, a couple of tiny problems (small hisses, again lasting for a few seconds) - 9

Movie - Jesus gets tortured and killed.... that makes for an interesting 2 hours. Very graphic and violent too. If you are religious, you'll probably love this movie. I'm not, so I didn't - 3

bah it's watchable, way better than the other releases ...

the colors change, and the sound gets real low sometimes, but guess what ... it has subtitles, so you really don't need the sound , unless you can understand aramaic.

Thanks for a good release, ppl bitching all up in here, FTF butchered it, and logistic didn't even come close to this quality ... just watch it, and be glad that it was what it is, a great movie.

Rating for Telesync after watching full release on standalone

Video: 7.5
Audio: 8
Movie: 100

Very gripping movie, Mel Gibson did great work and its quite evident why the jews in hollywood would want this to be hidden from our eyes.

Rls: Color changes are a bit excessive, they could've picked one of the numerous good ones and left it there. However there are scenes like when Jesus is crafting a table outside his house that I would rate a perfect 10 for video

Orginally stated video was an 8 in the sample, the movie would have gotten an 8-9 for video if they just picked what lens (or effects w/e) before they filmed their release version and made single changes during the movie in scene transitions instead of repeated flip flops

To me this is one of the best releases I have ever seen. Even better than some screeners coming out. I dont care who released it. It is that good. I would not wait for another release other than a DVD rip. I have a feeling the 2 or 3 goons here knocking the quality are probably crazy atheists trying to discourage people from watching the movie. Trust me on this guys, the quality is 9, sound 8, movie 10. This is a must see. All subtitles are clearly shown, maybe 3 or 4 seconds in the entire movie that you will hear a hiss. Don't listen to this crap about movie being cut short or bad quality, these people need to lay off the acid. Just get the movie, you won't be disappointed

Right when she kisses his feet...cuts.....I previewed another (shittier) release and it goes about 45 seconds after that, but ends prematurely as well. There's definitely more (although not much) to the end that will kinda leave you feeling you're missing something (which you are). Shame.........maybe 3 cds were in order.

i think that a 8/8/10 rating is ok - the missing "footjob" scene doesn´t hurt anybody

cropping: i don´t care (~3h encoding and the picture is in the middle of the screen)

colour fading: the most dvd screeners have more B/W "scenes"

playback problems: that was not so funny - most players on my PC won´t play it properly - thats why i re- encoded the movie (with clipping to set the pic. in the middle of the screen)
tmpgenc was not able to encode it directly - the frameserver mode of vdub mod was very useful in this case

i didn´t understand all the complaints - the release is fine
if anybody didn´t like it - grab your cam and make it better
(or wait for the dvd) - it makes me sick when people are crying about free stuff

I'm not sure what version someone downloaded where it ends when she is holding Jesus or kissing his feet LOL!

The real ctp rls ends right when Jesus walks out of frame inside the tomb... and that's right where the actual movie DOES end. Right after he walks out of frame, DIRECTED BY MEL GIBSON comes on screen over a black background. Go to the theater and see for yourself.

Hmm its funny how people are bitchin to each other cos some worship Centropy and tcr and this and that. hehe
Well, I am just grabbing this now and after seeing a sample, yes I think -compared to the other releases of this- Centropy have indeed 'done it again'.

I do love centropy releases and its not for some ass-kissing or any other reason but way back when I downloaded my first ever movies. I began to notice that if I went for the ones made by Centropy, they would be of a great standard. They are the only group who's Cams or Telesync/Telecine (all cams really!) that I have seen have consistently been better than all the other releases of the same movie going around.

Anyway here's to a lot more Centropy releases..
Even if it is one every blue-moon.....

Re: Minus Ending

Ok, Ok.......yes, I was mistaken. The version I had was cut off, but not Centropy's fault. A re-grab from elsewhere and all is well. Just wanted to correct my mistaken information I provided. Sorry all.

I give this an 8/7/9.

This is the best Ts I ever seen.
Very nice picture.
God job Centropy!

Quality is pretty good.

From movie:
7.5/8/10

Even though this release has a few problems it is still a very good release.

For those of you who mention that some scenes end abruptly, I think it is because that is where the film is marked. When I saw the movie it had at least 3 spots where you can see red dots on the screen, I think there may have been 4.

Nice release, I give this
8/8/10

Nice release, weird things going on with the colours though, nothing special, I'm sure some people are just hyping it up coz it's centropy. And if you're not religious, watch it with a catholic, or you won't get it at all. I had to get my stepmum to explain who everyone was

7/7/6

Thumbs up

Damn, some ppl are way too picky about free movies.

There is nothing cut off, get your releases straight before you start spouting off at the keyboard.

The first few minutes, they need to adjust cam. Whatta ya expect? The color & audio flickers a bit, but it's not really noticeable.

It's a good release. CTP, FTF, TCR, Logistic, they're ALL good groups! Without them, you wouldn't have these releases to sit around and whine about.

8/8/9

Posted by ramp on 03-12-2004 05:53 AM:

yep.

I'd say all in all it's an ok telesync, about a 7/5/6

I just don't get how everyone says it's alright for the picture to lose it's color, I hardlol'd right at the beginning when you could see the exit sign in the theater. These are things that typically would get a release either nuked or rated shittily, but for some reason this one slipped by. I know how increasingly hard it must be to sneak cams into theaters, but there are definite flaws in this release. Admittedly, it is still watchable & for the most part it looks ok, the sound kinda sounds like a 4" speaker in an upside down garbage can though....

This piece of art was great, forgot to write here ;p hehe, nice release and all that, great movie, too bad I have a lack of bible knowledge...
<-- Doesnt even know who Judas and Peter was xD I've heard obut Jesus though

So I have to guess that it's true to the holy book of things, blabla, and that it's really great that way :P

8/8/9

PS. Whip me!

This is an exceptionally good release. I really don't care which group releases a film - I just care about the quality. That's what matters.

I saw this movie in the theaters first, and then I picked up a copy of this release by centropy.
YES! I watched my copy again at home on my 35 inch TV, and I was extremely impressed - this is a very good release!
I don't have a very good home theater system, but I can assure you that both the picture quality and the sound were great. And I also liked this movie - It certainly held my attention and this certainly is a very thought provoking movie.

And the yes, this is the complete version (absolutley nothing was missing from of my version). Only a few words in the sub titles didn't fit on my screen, but this was very insignificant. The actual movie starts out at night so the movie may appear dark, but it certainly doesn't stay that way. Don't hesitate to pick up this version. I don't post often, but I do read the comments on each post. Do yourself a favor and go see the movie at the theater. I also will tell you that if you're looking to get this movie, then look no further- you'll be very pleased. I certainly am.

Picture quality 9
Sound quality 8
My opinion of the movie 10

quality is pretty cool, shame it cuts off at the end all of a sudden, not into the wonkey boarders or the shakey cam for the first few minutes. Also the people moving around.
This could of been a wicked release - Its still OK though - much better than the others!
