Posted by neoparadox on 08-31-2002 03:34 AM:

The audio and video is great quality, fast release too.. but I think that the video may have been cropped because the subtitles do not appear on the bottom when the hologram guy is talking in the sample video. Did anyone else notice this?

Posted by Cele-CT on 08-31-2002 04:20 AM:

Yes , I think it might be, since that the rest of the subtitles in the movie are also not there. Maybe they enbetted them into teh subititles, and they did not do it that way, or something. I dont know, all I know is that it is an overall good release.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones - DVDRIP - TCF

lovely rip, but I noticed on the divx theres no subs when aliens speak, i'm d/l the svcd now can anyone confirm this for this release, a good point is at the end where Christopher Lee is talking to the boss alien in the cave

Posted by godmoney on 08-31-2002 03:38 PM:

Yeah, there aren't any subtitles on the SVCD...odd. Oh well more of a reason I can't wait to buy the DVD!

Posted by godmoney on 08-31-2002 04:13 PM:

Just a quick update: There is also a deleted / extended scene in this release! I have no idea why, but it's there.

After Anakin kills the Tuskens and he is talking to Padme, the remorse scene is extended, and has these two lines that were not in the film previously:

Padme: To be angry is to be human...

Anakin: I'm a jedi. I know I'm better than this.

In the theatre, and the telesyncs, it fades after he starts to cry. in this, it is prolonged and these lines are delivered...hrmm...wtf? What kinda retail rip has deleted scenes? Odd indeed...

Posted by Madfish on 08-31-2002 04:22 PM:

Star Wars episode 1 had extended & removed scenes restored for dvd maybe they did the same here

the reason u dont see the subs is cause they are where the black bars are in this but when they ripped the movie they have to resize it all they can rip is the accuall movie not the bars so thats why the subs are gone and when they encoded it to svcd the put the bars in so it wouldnt be odd shaped

For you nooBs, TCF used to do VCDs in the "old" days, and theirs were the best, and they ruled the scene (like C-entropy did when TCF left CAM/TS). I know because I still have some of their old VCD encodes like Final Fantasy, Ghost of Mars, etc.

EDIT: Should have said VCDs (format), instead of TS (source), excuse the hell out of me - didn't realize the actual source would be a big deal. Point of post was still missed anyway.

TCF did VCD long before esoteric and C-entropy was around, they just dropped out of this scene for a while and did exclusively SVCD for a LONG time.

EDIT: Correction for the l337 ppl!

i'll have to wait until i buy the dvd to check, but i find that odd. in ep 1 dvd, the subtitles that appeared when a non-human species was speaking, appeared in the actual movie, not the black bars. same went for the original movies. but its still a great rip nonetheless

Are you stupid or just stupid?
TCF has only done ONE TS in their entire 1 year of existence.
And that was their first release.
Original Sin.

Ghost of Mars and crap you are talking about.
Those are TELECINES. They are different. Noob!

And most sceners know thats ESOTERiC is TCF's TS/LiMITED line.
So instead of trying to be smart, please do some research.
It is pretty easy to dupecheck things if u want to.

Angry drnevc

Props for the quick release and excellent quality.
I'm sick of these widescreen! (Panic Room/Star Wars.. etc) How do you expect us to enjoy a action flick when the screen only cover 35% of the tv, the black bars cover the rest. Not everyone has a 52 inch tv, I have a 32 inch trinitron and the screen is so small!! I can barely make out the faces. I'm not asking for a fullscreen, but do you have to make the widescreen so small? Make it so the black bar only cover 25% of the screen, please!

Posted by VincentVegaFFF on 09-01-2002 03:02 AM:

I think its because the sub's aren't burnt into the movie. On the episode 1 dvd the alien language sub's can be turned on and off. I think that's why they are not this release.

FF was a SCR, and Ghost of Mars was a TC, sorry , both were ***VCDs***, and that is the POINT. They are not NEW to the VCD scene as some of you seem to think! ...and are sorely wrong.

To those wondering about the whole retail having different things in it. Well, there were 2 versions of star wars released into the cinemas, a standard version which was to be displayed in "normal" film operated cinemas, while an extended cut which was shown in digital cinemas, which had little differences and some extra footage added. I believe that the dvd will contain the "digital" cut of the film...which i'll confirm after i watch it

So is a re-release in due to do the lack of subtitles ment to be in the movie? That seems kinda important to leave out in a svcd collector like this

FS star wars, i thought that was sacrilige, Lucas always films in 2.35:1, if you experience it at a cinema its fantastic, but on small 4:3 TV's its a bit of a strain, but FS is going a bit far.

I remember the shit Xtreme took because it release Resident Evil in FS, is no one ever happy, u want FS go TS, u want the movie in as near to its original state as possible at the moment, this is it video wise, audio wise the DIVX version kicks ass but the video quality isnt great.

All you have to do is do a ZOOM with your dvd player or TV.. it cuts off portions of the side to make it resemble exactly what a FS picture is like.. cause you always loose some footage in FS, unless it was never released in cinema

Yeah zooming works great, i used to use it in the bedroom when i watched on a 14inch TV, only thing with DVD its bearable on SVCD quality starts to suffer badly, better to make it 1:85.1 rather than FS

Smile none

Most retail dvd's do not contain hardcoded subtitles so I'm assuming that the subtitles for the alien language was thrown in with the softcoded movie subtitles. This happens with alot of films when they are released on dvd.

2 Cents....

Just finish watching. TCF has really done some great stuff! Excellent video/audio, what do you expect from a DVD source.

I don't know if anyone noticed but they used DVD2SVCD for this rip. Which is strange because DVD2SVCD is the easiest program in the world to include subtitle tracks. Not many DVD's use subtitle tracks, they are usually just incorporated into the video, but there are exceptions like Star Wars 1 & 2 and Red Dawn. Just glad that are not alot of subs in the orginal, not compared to a movie like Red Dawn. One last thing, the two second audio crackle in the begining of Disc 2 which is a common problem with DVD2SVCD.

Well done TCF! Time to finally retire that *** copy!

First i would like to thank TCF For a great release, the Audio is execelent and the video is as perfect. you never let us down !

I was looking @ the video and noticed something that i am sure others have also... well if you notice the Widescreen boarders (on the top and bottom, the black boarders) well they appear double what they should be.. maybe a little bigger?

so because the boarders are bigger then normal.. the picture is smaller then normal.

has anybody else noticed this? Is this a reason to release a proper, or was it ment to be like that ?

From what I've noticed, ESOTERiC only does silver TS and Limited Screeners not homebrewn TS's. From the sound of their .nfo I think they might be pulling a *** with homemade telesyncs.

This is a common issue noticeable only on some monitors/tv's and certain standalones with 2:35:1 SVCD's. Groups don't often crop the black bars from 2:35:1 svcd during the encode because you're going to have to add black bars anyways, with divx you'll need to or it'll look horrible. Anyways, you're probably confused at what I'm trying to say but my point is that it doesn't require a proper unless you're gonna proper a shitload of other 2:35:1 SVCD's out there.

Posted by Redemption on 09-03-2002 01:40 PM:

Star Wars was filmed in that aspect ratio, its a cinema film, best enjoyed at the cinema, you could make the borders smaller by stretching the picture, which would suit people with widescreen TV's, but look weird for 4:3 people, but even people with widescreen TV's still have to have borders, just not as big.

No need for a proper,as good a SVCD of this as your gonna get, apart from the little subtitle mishap.

Can you read "moron"? We already told you MIIB TS SVCD, which I did have at one point, but it had some horrible audio glitches.

Oh , maybe that one didn't show up on Isonews.com or here for you (think it might have been an "internal") so you didn't know about it with your lame access. Get lost!

Well, if you are even remotely connected to the scene, you would know they did NOT release MIB2 TS. It was leaked and INTERNAL u stupid fuck.
We are talking about what a group actually releases.

And if you are remotely connected to the scene, you would know ESOTERiC was created by TCF so that they do not release Telesyncs or Limited movies through the main label.

Leaked? LOL. It was on every FTP site I"m on, and they are more than just a few - Leaked, released, whatever - You want to argue over semantics?... It actually did show up on vcdq for about a few hours, then mysteriously disappeared. Now it DOESN"T count because it was an INTERNAL? You making up this shit as you go?

Yes, I know about ESoteric, but since TCF created them , then whatever Eso releases in TS, it is just a "name" game then. If A creates B and B creates C, A still has created C, just indirectly, DOH!!! ..... You probably don't get that - you are too stupid to realize something so simple.

What kind of logic is that?
So your mom created you, you take a shitter, therefore, your mom created the shit?

Look, TCF did not release it. They didn't want to release it. It was leaked and labelled "internal". Even the nfo was fake.

I am making this up?

Read the nfo for
All.About.The.Benjamins.DVDRip.SVCD-TCF

"On another note, unfortunately
some lamer decided to leak our Men In Black 2
internal. "Internals" are internal for a reason.
We were not satisfied with that test release so
we'd appreciate it if siteops would be nuke it
before it spreads any further. Even the *.nfo was
a fake. Anyway, enjoy this ghetto fabulous film."

Just because it was on ur sites, doesn't mean it wasn't leaked. Simply said, if ViTE had a telesync one of their members wanted, didnt want to release it, but was leaked. So does that count that as a legit release? I dont think so.

Anyway, this has gone on long enough. I do not wish to waste anymore time explaining everything out clearly to you.

Your analogy sucks almost as much as the chicks in those XXX porn flicks. Was that the best you can do??

I don't care if it was leaked or not ; The point is: They have CREATED more than one TS, period.

Last, if I had known picky muthas like yourself were going to get hungup on TS (Telesync) I would have just written VCD. In fact, I did go back and revise my post (to say VCD) the same day because of "anal" muthas like yourself! Sheesh!

DEiTY added the covers of SWEP1 DVD Screener to their The.Fraternity.LIMITED.DVDRip.SVCD-DEiTY release. Saying Lucas does do screeners, and that this SWEP2 is a screener

Just on the Subs note, i have the subpack for the dvl XViD release and it has subs for the aliens and seperate subs for the whole film. I am gonna try and merge these subs into the svcd release with a little luck and see what happens
