This is the greatest release!

I can't remember seeing another release up to this caliber.
50 first dates, spiderman 1, anything does not compare to this!

pic is clear and full of color not like the other releases.

Pot thied twice with out success. Fra was alright, but sound was deafing.

hmm props for being first to release, seems very grainy but its not the best cam iv seen.

Audio is pretty good isnt holo nor hissy.

Nice

Watched parts of CD 2 earlier. A bit bright in some places, but overall, the video quality is very good. I'll probably play with the gamma before re-encoding. The JPG doesn't do the picture justice.

Audio was v-nice, no hiss or muffling.

Will watch the whole thing later.

Don't be fooled by the NTSC labeling here... just tested it and it's definitely PAL.

Thunderbirds.CAM-FTF

This does suck. FTF is just another shitty silver group. Video is steady, at least, but it has washed out colors, and it's cropped to shit. The audio is hollow, typical cam. I don't hear any external noise, but I wouldn't watch this. I rated as a cam. Doesn't hold up to UTi's standards.

Watched the begining of Cd1, Decided that the sample seems better than the actual cd therefore I changed what I rated it.

i see people saying 9, 8 and 7's the video is grainer then then a beach and the audio is crap id give it a 4/3.. ppl voting off jpg should be banned, i think its un-watchable and i thought ftf was dead now they seem to have a uk source.. movie seems to be crap too.. FTF should spend more time encoding and acctualy output a watchable video. thats just my opion

database is defo screwed. This thread is rating Thunderbirds cam and not the I Robot SVCD (but if you click the add comment tab for I robot you come here) go into the main forum list for VCD and there is no thread for the I robot SVCD.

I RObot SVCD very good work perhaps a little too bright in some places but like the nfo says better too bright than too dark
Audio seems like DTS to me movie....not seen it all will have a proper squizz tonight. This was nuked as interlaced but had no problems myself with this.

It is a cam.....havent seen it so cant rate it.

Id say til the database is fixed if the rater says cam then its thunderbirds......if they give it a 10 for sound or picture then its I Robot.

Good cam, one of the best i've seen, will get this later

this is the same source of the poor quality dvd that has been knocking about , on the dvd cam picture was on the piss a little , looks like ftf recoded it and taking credit for it, this is why picture is very blockly and grainy where they have cropped picture.

yeah i mean theres some bitch now in the camera every two seconds, and in the beginning on the right side of the screen theres some weird yellowish line that moves up the screen, kinda pissed me off but once that was gone, the release was excellent. as they said in the nfo, rather a lil brighter than a not being able to see in the dark scenes. no green tint like pots internal, sound was excellent, nice work boys fuck the haters this is the good shit right here.

Just finished downloading this FTF cam and i must say i have seen a lot lot better cams then this by a long way.
Picture is so bad and sound as if in a train tunnel.
Heads in the veiw and cropped on the right side and the cam is angled up on the left side.
The only way you would want to watch this copy is in a very small window on your computer.
Dont even think that it's worth encoding or burning to cdr or dvd What a wast that would be .
well impressed that you got this out so early as UK had the first release date..? for a change. but as always no good UK cam have to wait for the french or the guy's in the old USA.

Hope to see a better version soon to encode to DVD.

I have to say that this realese is slightly better then pot's. Pic is bight as fu6k, but the audio is louder. But in no way is this any were near what everyone is rateing it. I think I rated pot's a 7 and this would have to rate a 7.75-8 at the most.

I downloaded it today and converted it already to DVD. This is a great copy and I will watch it more than once. Clean sound, but not loud to hear.

watched the centropy version on the TV tonight.

video was excellent, one of the better TS I've seen. Audio
was excellent as well. Movie was... ok.

watched full movie last night on standalone dvd player, not bad release, pity about couple of people walking in front of cam, overall quality watchable

Having just flicked through both CD's I can say it looks watchable, though the pic is extremely grainy. Audio seems to be your average cam quality. Can't comment on the movie as a whole because I haven't watched it all the way through yet. Has to be said though, major props to FTF for an early rls - I was expecting to have to wait until the US rls date before this one was available.

i got the 2nd pot release first and as usual I was to quick on the draw. Centropy was a good effort and I was late for work as I got really into the flik. anyway I rate 8/10/9- 9 for flik is based on first disc im off to watch it all now but thinking will stick to my 9

I Robot comments since this thread is messed up big time.

Picture has the usual Centropy problem where the glare from anything white renders any bright scenes almost unwatchable. I actually found the POT CAM more watchable with about the same number of people moving in front of the Camcorder, though the slight blur and cam shake with POT is a pain.
The picture quality and sound quality here is higher, by a good bit, but I'd rather see the details hidden in the bright glare.

There is a guy who sits down at the beginning and a woman? who moves around twice and a head that appears a couple of times.
This doesnt bother me in the slightest but the point of this forum i thought is to give feedback on the quality of the releases, to let people know what to expect. The groups have made it clear they dont care whatever we think.
It all good as far as I'm concerned.

I, Robot IMHO is the best release yet. nothing like the recent VideoCD releases.

but ignoring videocd's releases (Spiderman2 and whatever else) I give this a 9. 7 if you count videoCD's releases. still a shitload better then any other group's release

still worthy download. I doubt i'll bother with anything else until a dvd copy is released.

i have a question though (at least im asking?). but why do people comment that video for a cam is good? i thought TS and Cams video was the same.. TS patched into the theatre's audio directly and a cam just used the camera's microphone. TC does the same as a TS except it does it for video also..

can someone tell me if im wrong and why i'm wrong?

This film should be called thunderthighs - because like a girl with them , it should be avoided by all costs !!!!

The release itself is aload of c*$p - how it manages to get above a 4 in the video rating is above me - i think people must be judging off jpegs or the sample which is surprisingly the best quality in the whole film .

No disrespect to ftf because it is a pre release copy and i admire their work but i'm sure they can do better than this !!!!

Just watched the full movie, for those who need to know.......

Someone walks in front of the camera and sits down close to the start.

Someone else gets up in the middle some where, twice.

Nothing major, Quality is well watchable but the first post rating it as a 10 is way off the mark!!

Bright in places, similar to the same thing in Troy. But doesn't waste the movie.

Some strange horizontal lines appear and go, they can be seen on the right at the start of the film and then on the left during the film in some places (hairline, nothing to worry about)

Full film, right to the credits. Worth getting a hold of, no need for a proper.

The white balance everyone is bashing is NOTHING compared to that of TROY, which made that film totally unwatchable! So don't compare this to TROY, you meathead!!

You want an honest and accurate opinion. Here ya go.
Picture was very good with a slight line(hairlinethin) that seemed to roll up the picture a few time. It didn't really affect the movie. There were three "heads" that i saw in the picture that didn't really affect it either(one may have stood out a little though). The picture was bright, but it was not at the "Troy" level(couldn't enjoy that movie). Also this movie didn't have the usual centropy overcrop.

The sound was very clean, but a little too dynamic in that the dialog would be at a very low volume then the action would seem to be ten times louder(was a little irritating). All in all a good release. This is the one to get.

I watched the full movie last night...

I rate the release:

7.5 / 9.0 / 9.0

As discussed, the white balance was the biggest problem for me... the interior scenes are fine, but when the action moves outside, things get a little washed out. The movie does suffer from a blur within fast paced scenes... which seems the norm for a cam release... use a fast shutter speed on camcorder..??

Sound was fine, it was clear on a standard Dolby surround setup.

As for the movie, I really enjoyed it. I'm not a fan of Will Smith though... his dialogue in the movie is poor. The star of the show is predictably the robot
I thought the 30 year look into the future was very well done... no flying cars or spaceships.. check out the Audi car.

Overall the best release so far... yes there are 3 times the screen is obstructed by some gimp "dropping the kids off @ the pool", yes the cap has an intermittent green hairline on vertically scrolling parts... who cares.. I enjoyed the movie, and I will pay good money to see it properly in the cinema, based on this "preview".

I haven't read all the posts since it's so mixed up with Thunderbirds, but I saw some complaining about I, Robot. What is there to complain about? I can never figure out why some of you people whine and pout, use fowl language (no doubt due to a limited vocabulary and limited intelligence), rant and rage over FREEBIES!!!! Catch a clue, people. As they say, "You get what you pay for." If you're paying nothing and you get crap, so what? At worst, maybe you have a couple of coasters. But this release is great, especially compared to nothing, which is what you would get at the theater if you didn't pay them. Have a little appreciation for these groups. If you think it can be done better, then you go out and do it yourself. I doubt there will be very many takers on that challenge.

i,robot 8.5/6.5/10

the audio even though clear was very low volume and some hissing (or is it my speaker!)
the colors were a bit off and the brightness too much sometimes
other than that great release

yeah i loved the movie so much i watched it twice and wil go to the theater when it comes out on 6th august here !

IRobot is the best movie ive seen in a long time even better than spiderman 2!! any way the picture was great sound even better.

Thunderbirds
Ok well i aint watched it on a tv or pc but i watched it on my mobile.The picture is reall gd just zoomed still watchable the sound is just brilliant noraml for cam.This movie i thought was brilliant but then again i am a thunderbird fan This is a really good film i cant see how no 1 can slate it.Action from the beginning cant wait for thunderbirds 2

Ok, it seems this page is kind of screwed up but here comes ratings for both I, Robot by CTP and Thunderbirds - FTF.

I, Robot:

Quite nice release. Video is good and audio is rather great. Movie is ok.

Thunderbirds:

Meh. Yes, I understand it was a pre but still... well, anyhow, there's a better release of this movie so get that one if you _really_ want to see this movie, what a lousy movie this is.
