Much better than the VCDC TS. But i dunno, i think i'll stick with the CAM for now. Can't be bothered getting another. 2 samples though?

impressive esoteric, normally i don't take this stuff but this one is very nice. pic has good colors and is sharp, sound a little picky when they talk indeed but nonetheless for this kinda movie this is enough to watch it immediately
about the 2 samples, i think they cut the sample1 before they knew VCDCentral would do one before they did, so they cut the 2nd one to show the comparison with vcdc's sample [same scene]

The colour is definately good but the pic is still a little blurry

This is a definitely an unexpected surprise from ESO. The video quality is magnificent for a mpeg-1 rip, with all the flashy SVCD TS's out lately I almost forgot how good some regular TS's can look if done right. The colors are vibrant, no angle, no flicker, no camcorder movement (judging from CD1) although slightly blurry (not as much with powerdvd but wmp ruins it).. I don't know if it's cropped or not but if it was it must be minimal as far as I can tell. ESO's best TS yet, and some scenes of the movie were FUNNY AS HELL (Stifler's acting was a bit more BLEH then in previous AP's). Sound was direct and very nice, I didn't notice those wierd stuff the other 2 posters noticed when listening through my headphones. Anyway, best version out and a definite keeper.. a MUST DL! 9/8/10 (Judging as a non SVCD TS)

Pic is lovely - really nice colour and none of that blue tint that haunts so many TS's. Sound seems fine - maybe a bit crackly but nothing that would stop me grabbing it.

Confusing this one.The picture isn't all that sharp and the sound is a little hollow.
I really don't understand why this was encoded to VCD rather than SVCD.This would have made a great SVCD Telesync with that picture just a little sharper and would have given another release group something to beat .

Esoteric congratulations on a great release.
For a VCD this is amazing, obviously this will probably be topped by an SVCD, but i would be more than happy to watch this version.
The sound is a little hollow, and the picture is not as smooth as it could have been. Other that a damn good release.
And the movie is great.

this is very good its clear best yet
i've never seen such a nice ESOTERiC TS. hopefully this is what all of their future releases will be like.
i gave it a 8/8 but i hesitate to give the video an 8 just because it is a bit blurred moreso with motion than without. but it has no angle, is widescreen, and hardly cropped not to mention best release yet. gj just sharpen the picture a little more if you can.
This is definitely the one to get, nice choice keeping it vcd too. Sound is nice, video isn't very blurry, has no angle. 8/7/7

I must say this is a nice release, great picture and okay sound..but overall for a vcd telesync this is nice...8/5.... This is great ..but an svcd version will be better, whether it TCF, Tcs, TGF, CTP or Logistic.. overall I'll wait on a SVCD version for sound purposes and a little better resolution on picture quality.

excellent vcd ts. we get used to the svcd ts's in the scene
and im glad to see eso can still show us what a true vcd ts can be.
- a couple of heads pop up toward the end
and once in the middle. overall, a little blurry but the colors are crisp and the audio is top notch.

great job ESO this is hands down one of the best vcd ts's to come along in ages. like others have stated this will more than hold me over till the dvd comes out later this year. As for the movie saw it yesterday afternoon & i couldnt stop laughing simply great if you liked the previous 2. let others flame but CTP wont do much better on this but everyone will praise as always.

Nice release and best so far
this is a terrific rel.
video: 8, a few heads pop up at the very beginning and at the very end, nothing major here, that does not impact the viewing at all.
audio: 9, nothing at all wrong here
movie: 10, great movie, not as good as the first, but better than the second. it surprised me a lot, did not expect it to be this good. hands down the best comedy of the year so far and will probably end up being the best comedy of the year.
ctp, tcf: take a break on this one esoteric did a great job, let them have the spotlight for this one.

Real good vivid color balance on this one. Slightly blurry, but with your TV controls can be remedied. The sound sometimes almost sounds like they are talking through a megaphone...hollow, raspy.
Definately the best copy out there now.
Another group could top this with an SVCD encode and better sound, but thats not saying a lot.

video - nice not to clear but will do for now . it has a very small angle line on it at the bottom.
audio - reminds me of ctp audio nice and clear.

quality on this 1 is just as good as the svcd copy this 1 is smaller and in in my opinion better sound movie is good but not as good as first but they never are so.... is it me or are ts getting better and better 8/8/6
I was very surprised with the quality of this release. It was much more than watchable, and I was able to completely enjoy this version as much as in the theatres. Great job esoteric. The sound is a little off, but that can easily be fixed by turning the treble down a little on your tv. I highly recommend this release to anyone out there who wants to laugh. I would have preferred a SVCD release only for better sound, however this was still very impressive.

I just watched the whole rls, Not bad, It's very clear, the audio is pretty decent. I won't get another TS of this movie myself.
The only problem I saw was a few heads walking near the end of disk 2, But other than that nothing.

3rd. piece of pie your probably on a sugar high, enough is enough. But still a good piece of pie.
I think that sums up the American Pie movies.
This movie is worth a watch, It completes the series. I damn near gagged once through the movie, Oh it can be sick.

This release is great, just finished watching the movie that was so funny, the pic is perfect, in my opinion better than ctps, releases but some ppl will say it is not, and that is because it is not svcd and as sharp but i, i think it is perfect apart from the ppls head that pop up a few times, and the sound is great, not perfect, just u can tell there is something not perfect, but i could live with these TS's forever, thanks ESOTERiC and i hope u can produce this quality on other movies u release

gah, i hate my slow ass connection. i have been downloadin this esoteric release for about a day now and im still only 50% done!!!!!
ok as far as the movie goes 7/7 great job eso. as far aas u lamers whining about vcd svcd blah blah blah.. its all about source. if u have a digital camera, or adigital sorce...eg DVD, then releasing in SVCD format will probably PRESERVE the quality as closely as possible, and making it a vcd will probably degrade the quality. the same goes of the reverse, if u dont hve a digital source, making it a SVCD isn gonn make it better.. clearer sharper.. (billion dollar man flashback) its gonna make it more pixelated.. the flaws will show more, u cant create resolution, but u can preserve it. i think alot of groups are releasing SVCD now cuz all these(hm what word can i use without gettin my post deleted) rejects keep whining about how it would be better if it was svcd.. or thir gonna wait for the svcd, some groups .. ctp being the one that comes to mind first, should stick wth svcd, their svcd releases are generally very cleear, and it works for them, a few other groups have rls some nice SVCD TS as well,other groups, should rls in vcd.. like i said its all about the source yo alter the phrase.. crap in=crap out SVCD crap is still crap, its just crap with a bigger filesize

I agree that the source quality should dictate the encode format and MPEG1 is fine for this release. Good job Esoteric. I like a good telesync and the silhouette at the beginning of CD1 was magic!
The movie on the other hand was dull and lacked coherence. The previous two movies were also, but they had their redeeming moments. This third version has few laughs to bolster it's lack of direction. I drifted off to sleep somewhere during CD2 after completely losing interest.
Just thought I'd put my two cents in-
I can't agree more with what some have said about vcd/svcd. svcd is fine for a telesync WHEN THE SOURCE IS APPROPRIATE. However, this is many times, not the case and makes the video look worse when re-encoded. Garbage in-Garbage out.
As for this movie, laughed my ass off.

While both the video and audio quality might be decent I tend to loose interest when I see heads start popping up on the screen from the audience.. ruins it for me.

Hollow sound, some things are cut off of the right side of the screen..
EDIT: The more I watch it, the better it gets.. will hold me over until a DVD screener/release.

Great release. 9/8/9 One thing is bothering me though. did they cut some scenes? cuz i see the commercials on Tv and theres scenes in the commercial that arent in the movie..."anyone order 800lbs of jello". which scene was that i didnt see it in the movie. and theres other bits in the commercial i dont see in the movie.

ah yes, a great way to end this trilogy.
i just finished watching it and this is a very good release.
the video was very nice especially when u consider how fast it was released. no angle, it didnt appear to be cropped much and there was some noticible motion blur, but it wasnt too bad, as it wasn't an action movie with fast cars and that sort of stuff.
audio was spot on. i only noticed the audio to peak and get scratchy 2 or 3 times throughout the movie.
this will suit untill a dvdrip emerges in a few months.
now if only someone would rip those new Behind The Crust dvd's...

I'd give it 8/7/10 The video was kind of blurry, audio was ok, but you can hear good, and the movie is the best of the summer.

Thats a good TS release from eso. I watched it on my TV and the Video is almost like a good Centropy release. Joust the audio isnt that crystal but still of tha hizzie tho. Centropy got to look out for the competition

Man this flick is really funny, better then the other 2. Actually the second one wasnt funny at all. I would recomend you guys to get this release, since it cant really get better till dvd rip.

this is the first vcd-ts i've got for a while, the trend was ts-svcd and still looks to be. This is really clear and impressive in my opinion, a nice job which shows that you dont need to try and convert everything to svcd. grab this and then a dvd-scr, I dont really think a vhs scr would be worth getting as well as this?

Well i wouldnt grab any screener after this release. The DVD Rip would be the next release thats worth it.
