Don't know about the movie as i still haven't got round to watching this, but im not entirely homophobic, so i dont think i will hate it as much as others.

Quality is nice, though not extraordinary, and sound is ok for stereo mp3, would of been nicer with a 3CD version, but i dont think pHo would agree with me on that :P

Yes, I saw it right now. Wrong symbol on the release here on vcdq....

I like the quality, but the sound could have been ac3.

i dont know yet if its a keeper, because ive not grabbed all of it yet, but i will say that this definately should have been ac3... lowering the res. to 608x256, with ac3, would have resulted in a good picture, and proper sound... but as it is, because of the mp3, the video looks really quite good, but youd expect that anyway...

Generally a very nice release but has a few issues....

- mp3 audio could most definately have been ac3 especially for this epic

- cramming it onto 2CD's. is still good quality but a 3CD rls may have been a wiser choice.

- video height....at x273 is not good. there was a mention of making it x256 which although increasing the sharpness of the picture is just too narrow!!

Video - overall very nice good and clear just has the issues mentioned above. wish it had been 3cd with decent height.

Sound - ac3 would have been nice. but beggars cant be choosers.

Movie - liked it a lot, got a soft spot for historical epics and although this film could have done with more battles and less gay interaction it still portrays the great Alexander well.
