ISO to AVI how the F*%K do you convert them

Ok ..... Yes i am a new user, i have tried google, VCD help and a few other web sites but i do not understand or find the answers i am looking for so i am sorry if i upset any members but we were all new users at some time.... ok here is my problem

I undestand how to download films in rar format and can convert them but the only files i am able to convert to DVD's are AVI's

I have down loaded films in ISO and BIN format but i have not had much luck changing them over to DVD.

To burn discs i am using DVD santa to encode the AVI to DVD format which takes on average 6-8 hours then the same program burns it to DVD for me and the film plays 100% on my DVD player.

I have tried ISO buster to extract Video TS files and then used santa to burn them but they only use up 1/3 of a disc and dont play correctly (very jerky and stop start but audio is ok)

the same result with Alchol 120% - Record Now and Clone DVD...

please will tell me how to convert ISO and BIN files to AVI's that way i can burn of the 7 films i have saved on my hard drive.

Thanks for all you help..... :-)

The big question is...

why do you want to convert them? The iso should burn as is to a CD-R.

If you want to burn DVD-R's you are downloading the wrong files. You need to start downloading VOB files if you want to make DVDs. When you go to where-ever you go to get files, look in their DVD-R section. However, WinAvi might just fix your problem, I've never used it to convert bin to DVD, but it may be possible. I'm sure others know more.

So you wanna take an innocent little ISO file......convert the unlucky bugger to a fucking AVI......DVDSanta the shit out of it for an ungodly 6-8 hours....and then burn it as a DVD? Holy hell......Please do the world a favor and get DVD Decrypter (freeware) and just burn the fuckin ISO. Lemme know if that works out for ya, k?

why don't you just burn the bin or iso as is?i don't understand why you need to convert to dvd format..why not just dl the dvdr rls..but if you feel the need to go thru the hassle, just extract the mpeg and use a dvd authoring software such as tmpegenc dvd author..another great site for you to check out is

i personally use winrar to extract the video ts from iso's. But all you have to do is (as i said in another recent post) use vcdgear to extract (fomr bins) the mpegs and join

question was how to get to avi.? rip from bin with vcdeasy or vcdgear, encode with Ashampoo movie shrink and burn to DivX avi. or winavi to DivX both take around 1 hr. Dr.DivX will also do it in around 2 hrs. after the rip you get a file called a avseq.01 you can do what ever you want with it play it with any player on your computer or burn as data for mpeg-1 or mpeg-2 or like what your after encode it to avi. any mpeg to avi software will do the job after the rip.
