Perfect release... I was skeptical about the length of movie vs. bitrate, but it was great.

Video 9/10 - I am sure the retail will look amazing considering this one was this good. So as good as it gets.

DVD-R 10/10 - Perfect. Menu is 170 megs and then 4.2 gigs of raw movie. No commentary or extras.

Good movie also IMO... Worth checking out for sure.

ODD TID BIT: I noticed that you can rename ANY rep-theisland rar (between R05 and R92) to .VOB and watch it as a sample in PowerDVD. For example, rep-theisland.r11 was the sample distributed with the release Odd shit. It's a .IMG which is RAR'd (stored, not compressed I guess) and it plays normally.

Yeah, totally agree, for such a long movie, great quality, Replica are definetly the most consitent DVDR group around at the moment.

Audio is nice too, and movie looks excellent, been waiting for this after watching some of the Telecine months ago.

9/9/?

porco556, most stuff lets u rename it to .vob, or .mpg which i usually do, as long as its not compressed, or am i missing what ur meaning.

I prefer it to the VLC method as i can get a better look at the stats

Just grabbed a few RAR's and have to agree with what you said about the video so far, and audio is DVD, so it's all good there. I saw this movie in the theatres and I liked it a lot. I suggest it for anyone to try it out.

About the RAR's being renamed as vobs or whatever you can do that with most DVD-R releases actually. Actually I used to do it with SVCD's too (before I had a DVD Burner). In fact I just open up RAR's with media player classic to see what the quality is like. Downloading a sample vob is kinda pointless for DVD-R's since you can just open a RAR and not waste re-downloading 50 MB. Since compression is pretty pointless on things like this, groups usually just rename one of the RAR's as a vob and call it a sample.

Looks and sounds great. Plays very well on the WS standalone with 5.1 sound. (Wish for DTS?) Good SF movie.

9/9/9

Went to "Wally" on the web to check out the boat. WOW!

Great transfer let down only by the lack of DTS. Good movie too, I especially liked the Steve Buscemi character. The title threw me completely, I was expecting something like "Lost". Most reviews did it no favours either.
