Won't reconize video file ?

File name is Taken [2008] DvDrip-aXXo it's showing up as a screen saver I changed the name to AVI and tried to convert & burn with convertx & Nero but niether reconize the file ? I want to burn this to dvdr any help would be great.

The file extension used for Windows screensavers (.scr) is also commonly used for malware. I think you may have downloaded a trojan.

It sounds like you're downloading from somewhere terrible (a public torrent site at a guess or even worse, some open P2P crap) either way, you can reduce your chances of this happening slightly by only downloading "scene" releases like the ones listed on VCDQuality and if they're not a standard folder name, with mutiple rar files in them etc etc then assume it's fake and try again... Regardless of where you download from it's carelessness that will bite you on the ass.

you don't want AXXO releases anyways since he is know to take scene releases and re-encode them for some god awful reason that even I can't begin to comprehend
