Blank (2009) - IMDb #1326196
Video: 640x272px (480p), x264
Audio: 128kbit/s, AAC
Genre: Psycho-Thriller
Runtime: 96 minutes
Plot outline: The film, 'Blank', is the story of a young boy who witnesses the violent death of his parents. The story fast forwards 20 years and our young man finds himself involved with organized crime, his stepfather is the crime boss. While watching a poker game he overhears who murdered his parents and vows revenge. We follow our central character for the next 20 hours as he plans and executes his revenge. He picks his father up from prison, solicits assistance in his plan and becomes unwittingly involved with a pair of serial killers. There are side plots involving the crime boss's wife and an affair and a bizarre and shocking twist at the end. The film would be best described as a psycho/thriller. We meet other characters living separate lives whose paths all cross at the point of our hero's revenge.
Background: Annodam Films will released the feature film 'Blank' from writer director Rick L. Winters on March 21, 2009 on sites for everyone to enjoy. It is our concept that if people like the movie they will go back and make a donation or purchase the movie at www.blank-movie.com, thus allowing us to make another film and release it in the same manner. After the end credits of the movie BLANK there will be a trailer for one of the next feature films we are planning to film and release Peer to Peer.
The thing that makes this film unique is that it is a co-op based concept where are the entire cast and crew worked on a deferred percentage of the films gross. In other words, the cast and crew own a percentage of the films gross, so the profits are not going to Hollywood executives but instead into the pockets of the filmmakers themselves. Again the objective is to use profits from this film to make another movie and release it in the same manner. No one should have to pay for a film they did not like. No one should be denied the right to enjoy the art of film.
In the past Hollywood has dictated what we all see and how we see it but all that is about to change with the revolution of how film and media is distributed peer to peer. I have seen firsthand the greed that lurks in the Hollywood corporate circles. No Hollywood bank accounts being filled to turn out more crappy remakes. Instead the bank accounts of the filmmakers will be filled so that we can bring you our next film. Through the release of my film with Peer to Peer I am hoping to bring awareness to the benefit of Peer to Peer networks and to show that the future is here. The only difference is that this time the power is in the hands of the viewer where it should have been the whole time.
Cant wit for this to pre.

Sounds interesting and if it's any good I more than likely will donate. The more I think about their concept the more I'm liking it.
I did this with David Moody's Autumn movie. Then the cunt goes and gets rights to Hater and is filming that - Autumn disappeared.
Doubt I'll ever get the CAD$200 back, but since it's worth what... 68p? I'm not that worried
Already got it, will watch at the weekend.

Sounds like a good idea, will probably be shit though (judging by cast/director/production). Just kicked it off, should be down in 15mins or so, but far more keen to see 'The Broken', so if I'm still awake after that I'll give Blank a go.

as far as the broken goes, meh. it wasnt awful but it sure didnt leave much in the way of memories. decent suspense but the climax was no more of a peak than the crash.

Let me know what you think of it, as the reviews have been pretty mixed but the idea sounds good
) makes you think it may turn out to be quite decent, but it's fleeting. Not actually enough of an idea to carry it for 90 mins. Not disappointed that I watched it, wouldn't recommend it to anyone though.__________________
