although ub40 was a decent band...they played an 80s style of reggae/ska music mixed with new wave... aggrolites reproduce a vintage sound of reggae not heard since the 70s...even the productions are vintage sounding

Your so wrong there Zooted Ub40 started in the seventies and had a very distinct 60's rude boy sound in the early days.fortunately I'm old enough to remember all the early reggae , it was introduced into the UK by a bunch of skinheads known as the Kingston rude boys hence the rude boy tag. Every dance (weren't called disco's then ) you went to at the time was Desmond Decker every other song.The Kingston rude boys were also responsible for ska in the UK as well.Now the skinheads are aligned to far right anti black party's ,Ironic to say the least.

not all of em...just the boneheads on the news....i come from a predominant skinhead scene from the late 80s throughout the 90s...some are still around today....about half are minority and none were nazi....nyc kicked out white power a long time ago...

there is still a big skinhead/rudie scene around here but itll never be as good as it was in the early 80s...the 90s had a good renew but it was still a rehash of the uk version of the music....im real big on the original jamaican 60s and 70s rock steady and ska

as far as ub40 goes id love to here the original shit...ive only heard the mtv crap that saturated the airwaves
