Thumbs down Re-Encode of TCF's

this is a rencode oif tcfs rls if u look at sample (pv) when they start to fight and roll on ground u will see a glich in the frame
top left side 1/4 the way over approx go look at same area of tcf rls it has same glich it is 2 black dots (burn marks on the film)

either they filmed this rls same theater same showing as the tcf's crew did or they just plain ripped it off of tcf and re-encoded it
the odds of them being in same theater same showing are what a few million to one

so i will say re-encode

i compared the frams on a program that shows ya single frams and u can put them side by side and over lap them and they were 100% the same

Posted by Dirty on 06-15-2003 03:01 AM:

Good job. I noticed the angle but it doesnt really bother me.

If you guys read the nfo you see why its internal.
They are also working on the speed of their releases.
Good job guys.. Great stuff.

I haven't seen the sample yet or anything... but just going by the picture it's AR is a little off... and if I'm the only one who sees that then the rest of the world has problems... just for bad AR that knocks off 3 point from the picture.

Hmm.. I see a little 'dark shadow' on the top right of PV's release but not on TCF's. Are you sure they are the same?
I dont really see any similarities.

so if you have the tcf id stick with it

The Cigar Burns are present on Cam/Telesync movies as it's filmed in the cinema and they are there to show when the next reel of film is about to start for the projectionist.

this is a fucking great ts, one of the best ive ever seen.
there it is, the (hopefully) beginning of your greatness Pv.
very very impressive, honestly i dont see any angle, but the AR is a bit off OR the sides are cut. One of them, because its more like 16:9 than 2.35:1 (which im sure is the true AR)

Just squeeze the picture to 16:9 and u have the perfect AR!!
So don´t complain about not being OAR, get a tv with 16:9 why don´t ya.
To bad i watched nox version before, if i knew this would have come i would have waited

Awesome ws pic and nice sound.

Posted by Rep- on 06-15-2003 01:43 PM:

Best TS ever? Umm. You must not look at very many TS'. Bruce Almighty was amazing, as well as Finding Nemo. This release doesn't even compare to those two. And this is a little pixelated, specifically around 51-54 seconds in the sample as they are rolling over. Ok release, but nowhere near best TS.

Wow after watching the NOX release this one is definatly an improvment , much better contrast, color and a bit cleaner, and much much better audio ..only real downer is the framerate stuttering every 4-5 seconds or so (random) wich I think would have to drop the video score

The camera angle was off, seems pv may be suffering from the same 'Jay Leno Syndrome' that ctp had lol!

Good quality, about on par with tcf's.

Aspect ratio looks like it was letterboxed for 2.35:1 for playing on a 16:9 TV. I'm reencooding it now and the it comes out perfect.

Settings for those interested:

NTSC Film (don't use standard NTSC, it'll look like crap)

Set Source aspect ratio to "16:9"
Set Video arrange method to "Full screen (keep aspect ratio)"

This will reencode and make a 2.35:1 letterbox for a 4:3 TV. Comes out excellent.

Posted by Nick13 on 06-16-2003 06:14 PM:

I just saw the movie: In the begining when "UNIVERSAL" logo appears the globe looks like an egg. Even loonger then egg. It's absolutely clear aspect ratio problem - big problem - not the angle. I know how angle looks like - trust me it's not the case. After they shoot the movie they edit it with wrong settings.. Othewise great release! Realy good one just it's sad to see that aspect ratio issue spoiled everything.

i re-encoded it and it's a great cam job for a lesser known group. Video was clear and sharp, colors sometimes seemed a bit over-saturated at times, maybe they used a filter to brighten it up after the cam? Pixelated in high motion scenes but what can you expect. Audio was top notch, movie sucked

1) Open vcdgear - choose 'vcdgear' button - choose "rar [archive] -> cue/bin -> mpeg" - load your original rar - run the task - close vcdgear. 2) Open vcdgear - choose 'vcdgear' button - choose "rar [archive] -> cue/bin -> mpeg" - load the first(!) rar out of decompressed archive in step one - run the task - it will output bin/cue then mpg files for you. You can burn bin at once (choose - file - burn image - load your cue and click burn in your Nero app) but this particular rls needs reencoding due to aspect ratio is set to 16:9. For this you can use your new MPG file. When reencoding choose "NTSC film" then set source video to 16:9 and target 4:3. Use TMPGEnc. Befoure you do anything with vcdgear set your RAR decompressor in 'options'.

Hi....since its a SVCD you must first rip the audio from the video using DVD2AVI. All you do is load the SVCD mpeg into DVD2AVI then save project.

Then using TMPGENC load the .D2V file as the video source and the other file XXXXXXX DELAY 0msXXX as the audio source...then just use VCD template and convert.

Posted by red devil on 06-19-2003 01:46 AM:

I feel that TCF is the better rsl as the aspect ratio has allowed for alot of the screen to be cut... TCF keeps the wide aspect intact..it's slightly grainer and lighter but the sound is better than this release...good effort tho...but with a rsl i shouldn't have to rencode it..thats thier problem!

Posted by thugtillidie on 06-19-2003 05:29 AM:

finally found this shit....i gotta say it looks pretty good. the sound is good as shit... the video could maybe be a little better. its very dark. Overall pretty good, lets see if centropy could maybe top it

good work

WOW !!! What did i say about this group? "Things can only get better from here" from their first release. I'm lost for words about this release because of the better improvement in pic quality. Make a few more adjustments and "All hell will break loose".

Then using TMPGENC load the .D2V file as the video source and the other file XXXXXXX DELAY 0msXXX as the audio source...then just use VCD template and convert.

Wouldn't use a SVCD template? Also, do you have to manually change the aspec ratios, or does loading the template do that automaticly?

Same with me I viewed this one on the big screen just tonight....and I was really impressed. I had to overburn the first cd because it was a little too long for a 80 min cd....but nero overburned it no problem. Might have been over 2 mins or so.

Hasn't anbody noticed the jerking in this video ? pic and

sound quality are decent. (7,8,4)

I see they used ccd 3 tech. Just waiting till these guys buy a

lens filter to cut down on the polarizing.

I still cant extract the files on this one.

Iknow it was in .rar format but the winrar wont open the files. The frigging thing tells me its either not a supported file or it is corrupt.

Anyone else have this prob?

Good quality, about on par with tcf's.

8/8/2

thats because it is from the same dudes who do the ctp telesyncs
and no i dont mean the college kids in their dorm rooms who get them from asian source upload and slap their centropy tag on them
i mean the asians who work hard to get these sweet ass releases out to on the streets.

just more proof that centropy dont cam shit them selfs look at the
TGSC german dubbed version its the same fucking release they just added german sound and yes in their info they say its from ctp source
looks like 'PV' finaly got a decent asian supplier someone quick enough to beat centropy to their releases

i mean c'mon .. 'PV' an asian silver group suddenly releasing fine telesyncs that are exacly the same in every detail as a centropy release
and centropy dont release a 2f2f why? cos pv beat them to their source and released it first so ,centropy was forced to give TGSC their silver so they can add german language

its about time someone put an end to centropys lies about them claiming to cam their own shit ,first was apm now pv ,getting their hands on these silvers before ctp ,who knows maybe ctp didnt know their supplier got these from asian sources and assumed he done them himself ,either way ctp's reign of lies is finaly comin to an end , i wish they claimed to have not cammed these before some other groups shown them up but hey thats life

big up to all release groups remember tho atleast credit your source ,for u are all nothing without them
not that asians give a shit about us anyway they do this for the money and not the glory

this release awesome sound is amazing picture is nice and colurfull shame about the funky angle

Posted by jamaldogg on 07-09-2003 12:33 PM:

Quick question.

I snagged the Pv SVCD, 2.Fast.2.Furious.INTERNAL.SVCD.TS-Pv of this movie and was wondering if anyone had any problems with this? I unrar'ed CD1 and CD2 and both CD1 and CD2 were CD1.

Now normally I would have thought some lame ass couriers fucked this up but I leeched this right off a Pv HQ site. Uploaded by one of the members of Pv, not some random courier.

230- ÛÛÛÛ PV ................. VCD ....... <-- off the site login afils list, not that anyone cares. Just pointing out that the site is a good site and not some crappy pub or anything.

I didnt see one person on this forum say anything about the CD1 and CD2 being the same. I'm wondering how in the fuck a PV release is messed up like this on a PV HQ. I leeched CD2 a second time and sure enough, its the same as CD1. No one else ran into this problem with the inturnal SVCD?

Thanks.

Posted by rw371 on 07-10-2003 10:30 AM:

CD1 same as CD2

No you got both cd's just both cue files refer to cd1 so you have
to fix the cue file for cd 2.

Posted by jamaldogg on 07-10-2003 08:19 PM:

I didnt even think to check the cue files. Never had a problem like this in my life. Your right though. I edited the file and it works fine now.

I've had cues not work before but when cd1 loaded up I figured it was some packaging error.

Ok thanks.
