quite good for a pot cam but i would normally say i`ll wait for a better copy but not sure if we`ll get one so i think i`ll go to the pics for this one

Never been a fan of POT's but this isn't actually too bad.

Decent clear picture, slightly squashed but that's easilly fixed. No heads, no tilt.

Audio is nice and clear, obviously hollow but that's too be expected.

Movie is one I'll watch in the cinema regardless of this release anyway.

We saw it in the Cinema yesterday.

It was excellent (great effects and lots of action) but so Spielburgish you could tell certain scenes will be in Florida theme parks not to mention the obvious brand promoting of various goods.

This one should be seen on the big screen and having done so will wait for better to grab a copy.

Just rating the flick, 9.

i didnt know what they meant by fat and wide until i watched it..it is fat and wide plus the last 15 seconds of the movies missing...oh well good try just the same....5/7/9..the movie itself rocks!

not too bad for a cam. much better than their land of the dead copy, but the squished a/r, cropping and missing ending let down what could have been a pretty good release. like already stated, normally we would wait for a better release but after all the busts it isnt very likely.

Actually the reason the Pic is so nice and steady except for the basement scenes. Those are awfully dark, is because if u watch the intro closely. I believe the pic is a Stolen source from the Russian.TS. that was released a few days ago with CAM audio added. Even the Movie title War of the Worlds is in Russian and all intro text.

However, the Sound is pure shit CaM audio. Just listen to the guy move around constantly while supposedly camming this film, YET the Pic remains perfectly steady, I think NOT, and they speak English.

I hate to say it, but i think we have a Re-Encode job here using the Russian.TS. video with a CAM audio track synched in. Now i've seen it all.

Some Video scenes, like basement ones are nearly unwatchable, otherwise the pic is very clean and clear, although very cropped, the sound well its CAM and the guy cant sit still, a few laughs can be heard as well, and the movie is over rated IMOP>


Movie focus more on Tom Cruise and his family amidst the War, with the Special effects just serving as background..And omg Dakota Fanning is so ANNOYING. All she does is scream and whine...Shudder.

Bad pic, bad angle, bad sound the guy plays with the mike through out, some laughing, missing ending.

I m pretty sure we have to wait a while before we can get any other release of this movie unless new groups pop out faster then the others got catched.

Seen the sample and that was enough, going to wait for a better release. This needs quality. Props for speed to POT. Nice to see you first again

I need to see a better quality copy or go to the flicks but from what I was able too see it was a reasonably good movie

i havent posted in a while but i decided to...god that sucks about the busts. Hmm but dont they know it will never die? Oh well let them think they are hurting someone. as for this rls it is nice for a cam and nice for a pot cam at that. To bad about the nuke. this rls had decent audio & video. well shoutz to all the groups and people/sites still doing their thing in the scene.

POT... WTF? a re-encode? immatation wide screen that makes the actors look like midgets? c'mon

to who ever released the original russian source: the basement scene? please! that's a large chunk of the movie barely watchable!

lets hope someone else can release a good english copy... hopefully a DVD-scr... especially for a movie this big

the realease just looks weird... not bad but weird like.. the video is really square instead of rectangular

Just watched this on the big ass TV. Video typical cam quality, I thought it was a bit grainy. Watchable on a large screen, even the basement scenes, though they were a bit dark still. Audio, OK, obvious cam source. Movie in general: Not too bad, bit much spielberg, as was stated before, but decent adaptation of the story.

Even with the fat and wide video, its still decent for a cam. i give it a 6/4.5/7

just from viewing the first 15 rars or so, picture is pretty good. It is a little blury at times but good for the most part. AR is a little screwed up though. sound is good aside from occasional background noises and a bit hollow, but overall pretty good for a cam.

I just finished watching the film, absolutly brilliant. Best Tom Cruise film. The action was amazing and the graphics, wooooowwwwww. As for the quality, picture was a little dark and sound was pretty good. What it means by "missing the ending" is when the film finished, the commentater says a few words, he was ment to talk for about a minute but cuts after 10secs, so you get the whole film with a finished storyline.

without posting a spoiler....

the missing bit is literally seconds at the end, but if you watch it all you'll be pissed.

Now, the AR is a little messed, squishy. But as far as i can tell it was PAL? or maybe a PAL source i deleted before i bothered to check.

Sound was actually bearable for a cam, a little bass-e echo to some spots, and you can hear the cammer either taking a drink, fiddling in his coat, or masturbating, i couldn't really tell which for sure.

video was, as stated squished, and fairly dark, even for a dark movie and a cam.

sound was a little above what i've come to expect from cams, for the most part.

movie was good, not the greatest, and way over hyped, but I enjoyed it.

The picture on this release was good, but the AR made it hard to watch (for me). I haven't checked the repack yet, but it the AR is fixed this may very well be a great release. POT didn't have the best releases, but when it came to limited stuff they were releasing a lot. Thanks for the releases. Currently getting an internal CAM from plOpVCd(War.Of.The.Worlds._INTeRNaL.CAM-plOpVCd). I am not sure of the quality, will edit once I get the full release. But as for this release...

I tried watching this on my computer and it's completely unwatchable. You can't distinguish any emotion on anyone's face. Just completely blurred.

The audio was hollow; not to mention sound effects from the crowd.

The movie was meh; at best ( don't wanna go into detail but really should so no one will waste thier $$).

ID4 was a better alien invasion flick than this POS.

Do we be merciful and give the video a 6 because it's a cam?? I say no and call crap, crap.

once again I'd just like to thank all the users bitching and moaning about scene busts, and giving reviews of OTHER releases.

Please for the love of god read x69's post, which would be the #1 post in every thread from now on.

in case anyone is wondering about the missing audio, it is on the proper soundtrack. it is the last track i think and is called 'the reunion' and it is by john williams. it contains all of the full speech so if anyone wanted to mux it or whatever like i did and it works a treat!

i found that on a dvd the picture looked pretty good but the audio is kinda crap. the guy cant stop fiddling with the mic. the basement scenes were very dark but understandable THANK YOU

Not a good adaptation from the book. In fact it didn't seem to follow the book that well from what I remember, which is why I am dissapointed with the movie. The cam video was good quality for being a cam. The audio could have been cleaned up a little.

Exceptional quality for a cam. Video was fairly clear. Would have rated higher for video if not for the stretched picture. Audio's not bad aside from the fidgety guy who can't sit still. Entertaining story.

tried to watch this on the TV tonight... (proper version).

it was unwatchable.. almost looked like it was filmed at
176x144 and upconverted to 320x240. huge blocks.

audio was good for a cam.

movie.. dunno. only made it through about 15 minutes of
disc 1 before I shut it down.

maybe I'll fire it up on the PC to watch..
