then READ and find out which programs are popular for pirating movies.The more you learn the farther and more shit you will find.Then you will have no problems getting movies.
The key is READ.
All it takes is a little effort other then just asking someone else.

to tell the truth, I've been very dissapointed with p2p file sharing... speed always leaves something to be desired (rarely over 40-50 kbps on a cable modem connection), and they just don't seem too reliable. great for music, maybe... nothin' to write home about where movies are concerned. i've found that the good ol' newsgroups work best for me (go easynews!).... reliable d/l speeds of over 100 kbps, most movies are posted there very quickly (got Harry Potter three days after it was released), and with a good server you'll have over two weeks file retention. i know we ain't s'posed to talk about this kinda stuff here... just two cents worth from a newbie.

Now that I got that off my mind, try P2P programs until you find the right one for you. I know they suck and all, but its a good start. No one is going to give you FTP's that they worked so heard to earn and that you are begging for and expect to get. I am looking for good servers too, but begging isn't the answer

Yeah, i still use newgroups for stuff. Im not hugely into games etc, but every sooften theres a release out i wouldn't mind, and even the newsserver from my isp is fairly good. retention isn't fantastic, but i get very high speed from it. combined with another 2 free newsservers i use (to make sure i get all files) and its a nice simple way of grabbing stuff i wouldn't usually go for.

well, its better than p2p anyway, which has ALWAYS sucked.

I've tried newsgroups but I did not like them. My isp's merged w/ usenet 's newsgroup, so I have usenet now I guess. The problem is, when I want to download something, there are like 100s (seems like) of different files to download. Is there any program out there that will dl them automatically for me? I dont feel like staying up for 86 hours trying to get the whole movie.

yes i think newsgroups and MIRC is the best place to get what you want. All you need is a good a news server and learn how to use it and your set.

I'm very familiar with the ng's, but haven't used mIRC at all.... not very familiar with it, for one, and no one seems too eager to give tips on where to even start looking on mIRC. Of course, I haven't really had enough patience to try and track down tips on the net, either... guess I've been spending too much time trying to get a decent d/l speed on Direct Download!
