-- Nero VCD Non Compliant with mpeg (http://www.vcdhq.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=10426)
Nero VCD Non Compliant with mpeg
i have a problem...
some mpg or mpeg files are not complaint with nero vcd mode
some of these files can be compliant after i work on them with
tmpenc and save them in vcd system mode.
but some files do'nt work with nero!
all the files are mpeg layer 1 so please do'nt tell me to
work with dvdtoavi or to change them from layer 2 to 1 because
they are layer 1.
so?
any suggestions?
read the guides on http://www.vcdhelp.com
or try letting Nero re-encode the mpeg.
Billy
can you be more specific?
there are a lot of guides in vcdhelp....
if you update nero.. and have full version.. just let nero re-encode your mpeg to its idea of compliance

i've got an Apex AD-1500 and most of the mpegs that Nero says are incompatible usually play just fine... Sometimes Nero is more picky than the player!
If you've got some re-writeables give it a try.
Sp
or just use writeables there like 10cents each
for vcd i just re-run them threw TMPGEnc. havent had the problem with svcds yet
With my nero, when i have a file like that it asks me if i want to turn off standard compliance or sumthin like that, and then it lets me burn and they all work fine on my player (JVC)
i believe that normally that message just means that the res or AR or whatever it is called (the 200x320 thing) isnt exactly as it should be for a s/vcd.
usually you can just click "turn off standard compliance and continue"
i also have the Apex-1500 and eveything works fine

Most times I find it's the audio being at 48000 instead of 44100
since 48000 is standard dvd, it will play anyways on my apex 1100w...
then again... everything plays on it!!!
