Yes, its totally worth it, but the book is better .

that's pretty much a given. i can't think offhand of any movie that's better than the book, unless the book was written after the movie.

i'm a firm believer in "see the movie first", when possible. the book is always better, so if you see the movie & it's good, you'll be happy, then you'll read the book and be happy again. if you read the book first, the movie is almost always a disappointment.

i thought Fight Club movie was a LOT better than the book. i found the book a bitter disappointment when i read it, which was a shame.
