Very good movie - ideal fodder for girlfriends too

Is there much of a difference between this and the screener? Because I just started downloading the SCR and don't know if I should cancel and download this one?

screener had copyright msg'es so if u just wanna watch and del and not archive, no use dl'ing it again

The dvd screener didn't have watermarks/copyright msg's (not that I remember), so this version should be almost identical. In my opinion this release is not needed but then again, there might be differences in the film that I didn't notice and most people will probably want a retail copy for archiving.

stick to the dvd screener if u have started downloading it,
had no msgs
from dvdscreener info
" notes: another great FOX dvd screener for yall, once again no
watermarks/serials/timers/etc. and even though the
retail is due in a little less than 2 months it'd
probably be worthless to wait for the retail svcd since
it'll be identical (dvdr and divx are a different story
if you want extras and subs, hehe). FOX mastered these
screeners really well (progressive+5.1ch, weeeee!)"

lol...i just burned the dvd scr...but just because this says retail something makes me wanna burn this one too

I just got around to watching the DVD SCR last night, and I'll be skipping this release. That screener looked very good and had nothing identifying it as a screener (and many groups would probably have tried to pass it off as a retail). The black levels were pretty screwed up (lots of dark sections got a blue tinge that was made them lighter than they should have been), but the retail DVD reviews are saying this movie had a crappy transfer with screwed up black levels also. I thought this was a really good movie, btw.

This is weird, though, from the nfo:

even the RETAIL dvd of resident evil and dragonfly had cigburns... don't believe us? pay a visit to your local blockbuster, many retail vhs/dvds are poorly mastered..
I watched resident evil (skipped dragonfly) on whatever svcd dvdrip of it came out, and never noticed any cig burns (and usually they're pretty hard to miss). I've never seen a recent movie's DVD release have them. I just checked some DVD review sites, and none of them noticed them in these DVDs either.

I would get the retail, the dvdscr got a hiss which you'll notice when played at normal or high volume.
