Analyze That Review

Despite what "professional" critics have said of this movie, I found it to be highly enjoyable. The movie starts out with Dr. Ben Sobel (Billy Crystal) declaring wanna-be cowboy turned mob boss Paul Vitti (Robert De Niro) insane, upon which he is released to Ben for treatment until his parole date. However, Ben soon finds out that Paul's faked his whole catatonic lifestyle to evade assassination in prison. Paul's forced to work odd-end jobs ranging from a luxury car salesman to a jewelry store clerk, all of which end in disaster. It isn’t until Paul is asked to help direct a mobster movie that his true talent shines through. During all of this Paul continues to undergo treatment from the Doc, and we feel that he truly might begin to turn around. However, unable to resist his lifestyle of crime, Paul eventually finds himself in the middle of a mob family war with his psychiatrist in tow as his gang tries to pull off an armored car boost. The occasional jokes are well thought out and I applaud how many times they've managed to fit the F word into the film. Despite some discrepancies with De Niro's acting, the movie as a whole was well done.

no offense intended, but this was one of the worst peices of shit ive ever seen.

I cant wait for "analyze the other thing"

They treated this like a latter day simpsons episode. All singing all dancing, none of it was remotly believable, most of the jokes were ham fisted, and the edits were so choppy that its fairly evident that everyone involved in this fiasco was doing there job with one hand and holding their nose with the other.

thank you.
