im going by the jpgs here 2 things i dont like the screen going black and white and the annoying bar thing on the bottom that i can get used 2 but the screen going black and white thats annoying ill wait for the screener by tcf or who ever releases a good one this reminds me of telecines

DJD4566, a good portion of studios are starting to release screeners, DVD or otherwise, with B&W sections. This has nothing to do with the releasing group.

BTW, a true telecine will never go B&W. It's a copy of the film reel for all intents and purposes. If you're gonna comment on the quality (grainy, blurry, etc..) that's one thing, but scrollers and B&W have nothing in common with telecines.

Read Pho's informative scene FAQ if you're confused.

The Last Telecine I Downloaded Was I SPY from videocd and that did go black and white if i recall so it happens often buddy

i personally don't like judging a whole release by the sample(cant tell if there are any fuckups on the release itself), so i'll comment when i finish getting cd2 and watch the movie

sorry for the flame but seriously grow some balls and at least look at the sample

TRUE TELECINE that was more like a shitty scr type thing. But anyway who gives a shit about the black and white it does it for a god damn minute its not like the whole movie is in black and white jesus so god damn picky. Nice release here sucky movie though 8.5/9/3.

The screener 2 months ago by VideoCD was just fine i wont be dl this i will wait untill retail dvd this has those annoying things come across the screen saying this is not for rental blah blah blah call MPAA if you rented this and also it goes black and white so if you watched the VideoCD screener back 2 months ago i would wait untill dvd comes out

also to groovieman telecines do go black and white sometimes like DJD4566 said I-SPY went black and white a few times

but as far as i saw from sample i would give it a 8/7/7

i liked this movie and thats why i will wait untill retail dvd

it was stated above that I-Spy was not a true telecine most likely a WP or SCR made by the studio for editing

This is a word of advice more than anything.

If you can't judge with somewhat consistent accuracy what type of release something is just by watching and hearing it, don't argue about what source a release is from. Today's scene isn't exactly overflowing with honesty in labeling. Partly because groups don't give a shit and partly because they sometimes don't know what the fuck it is themselves.

I don't make any claims to be this enormous "scene guru" but I just wish people would do the goddamn research before arguing about subjects that they don't have the faintest clue about.

This is not a flame. I just hope 1 or 2 intelligent people take this to heart. If so, these boards would be much more pleasant to read.

As I said before, read Pho's FAQ. You'll enjoy discussions here quite a bit more once you know some of the terminology.

Ok.. I have some facts about the rls, not just whining about it going black and white.
(1)The max Bit rate is 2530000kbps, which is ok w/ the 192 kbps audio stream.
(2)Audio is 192 kbps , below standards.
(3)The pack job is fuct unless there is a new version of winrar (newer than 3.00) that I don't know about. I got the same error as I did w/ Amys Orgasm, where winrar Gives Invalid Authenticity warnings for every single rar file.

The only way to successfully extract the files is by selecting the keep broken files button before extracting, although the files won't be broken. I don't know why this continues to happen, don't hurt me none, but I'm sure there will be people who can't extract the files properly. Other than that quality looks good (better than any TC, TS, VCD wpr, BS). Even got the federal warning and some previews for upcoming releases w/ this one. :P
(Shouldn't they have at least removed the previews

fuck i hate it where it goes black and white just like the van wilder dvdscr but at least it aint like treasure planet haha overall the pic is clean it was a little pixilated but its all good 8/7/5

BTW The "Invalid Authenticity" is caused by the packers WinRar not being reg'd Jay nothing wrong with the pack'n just cant use authentication w/out reg'n WinRar. All files will come out fine.

Good video qual w/ minor pixelation, audio is 192 but still ok. IMO if you have the VideoCD SCR you can skip this one and for all those cry'n about the short B&W sections... deal with it or get another rls.
