:)

I'm downloading this one as I type. The dvdscr seems to be in excellent condition. I previewed my dl using VDub and everything seems to be in order. My wife is going to love this! I see this was listed as a screener and not a dvdscr. Well, the one I'm getting which is directed by Roman Polanski, and to be released in theatres nationwide in January is a dvdscr w/ polish subtitles (which aren't cumbersome). Peace.

Surprise?

In the NFO they say they have a surprise planned for the new year, any speculations on what it could be?

Posted by HarryBum on 12-17-2002 09:39 AM:

Many thanks for getting it done

Thank you so much for the great job you guys did on this. I know there wasn't much demand for this, so I was thrilled to see it show up, and even more thrilled to see how well you guys did it. The quality is excellent, and without you I never would have been able to see this film at all.

Perfect VHS quality.
This film blew me away. Roman Polanski clearly knows what time it is.

I'll use my first post to:
*say hello
* say how strong this movie is. It trully deserved the Palme d'or @ cannes festival this year!

Watch this movie!

I just saw it. This movie was nominated for a few Golden Globes today. I know alot of you guys see this out there and skip over it, but it's a really good movie! Please don't let the title fool you. It's not boring!

Great movie.
Because it's not Saving Private Ryan and because it's not a typical Roman Polanski horror flick, I have a feeling it's going to be shunned here in North America. A shame. And for those expecting just some gay movie about pianos and the people who play them, guess again. For the most part it's about jews and the holocaust, but yes, the title is fitting.

As for the release, it's a typical 'nothing really to complain about' screener. Picture quality is a bit grainy when there's movement, and the colours seem a bit washed out (this could have been how the actual movie is supposed to look, i dont know), but everything is perfectly visible. The sound is standard for a screener: excellent. And about 4 times during the movie, one of those "for award consideration" scroll-by warnings showed up for no more than 5 seconds each time.

Good release.

I must say I am pretty impressed by OBUS so far. Most new groups dont even know how to encode a SCREENER until like after 3 - 4 tries. Some still don't.

I didnt think OBUS would come so far, but i guess i was wrong.

This 'dvdscr w/polish subtitles' is a fake :-(

I'm sure I got the Obus copy but mine seems quite pixellated and I've seen VHS rips a lot better. Just my opinion though and most people seem happy so I'm not complaining

There is already a 2CD DVDscreener, quite good quality. Take a look at edonkey.
