I hear this film criticies the way the CIA operated in the Vietnam war?, or something like that.

So it's a very contravertial movie, thats why it's had a very limited release in the US, but has been pretty wide-spread in the UK.

I heard it was a pretty good movie , i watched the sample. but i dont see its out of sync. o well. good job obus. Wonder what the suprise will be in 2003

I'd bet that this is going to move into a much wider release in the U.S., possibly in January. Everyone's raving about this movie, and nothing this big would only show on only 6 screens. Lots of movies start out tiny like that and grow after 2-3 weeks. I guess the studios figure it's good marketing, or maybe they just wanted a small late December release to qualify for the Oscars.

If you actually looked at the section called release dates on IMDB you would see that its comin out in February next year. I had to read the book for a class I had and it was pretty decent. I dont know why everybody thinks its so extremly controversial. Yes the american guy did do some pretty bad things but wasnt necessarily acting on behalf of the government. Im trying to be vauge as to not ruin the movie for others but dont expect to see any real atrocities here unless the movie is portrayed a bit differently than the book.
