2CD's is fine for this movie
The limit for a 3cd movie is approx 116mins, this can often be streched a few mins further (i have seen to 125mins with no loss of quality). As this is not a fast paced action movie (well, not all the time anyways) this movie should be fine for only 2 cd's.
:: actually, it wouldn't be fine
75:42 CD1
76:18 CD2
Wish they would have used the whole 80 min.
PAL... yuk, someone give us a nice NTSC retail
:: NTSC? ewww! poor mans PAL ! -pHo

Please, PAL is a far superior format technically then NTSC, not to mention the fact that the majority of the world use it compared to only Japan and America for NTSC.
As for movie: 8 / 8 / 9 (from sample)
Just watched this release, I don't know what you guys are always bitching about. Video and Audio quality are great. Good movie as well. And what's wrong with PAL, if you knew anything about PAL vs. NTSC or a little about svcd ripping you would realize what you say has no basis and shows just how much you really understand. (9/9/9 is my vote)

Just got this. Looks great. No reason for 3 CDs. 2 is fine.
The kid who played Tom Hanks son sucked. I thought Jake Lloyd was bad in The Phantom Menace... but this kid is worse. A completely emotionless performance. Where's Haley Joel Osment when you need him?
NTSC is superior in VCD but Pal looks better on SVCD and definetly DVD, but this is only my opinion.
The less frames has nothing to do with it, the less frames per second you use the longer the film will be, so it equals out anyway.
The lower resolution means NTSC isn't as sharp as Pal, but Pal need a slightly higher bitrate to maintain that resolution.
I personally prefer the colors on Pal, but its not much difference unless your using a DVD player that favours one format more.
Just my two cents
By the way, good release of a good film.
